“I’m close to activism because I’m a black woman in America,” Laura, who is best known for her work in Spider-Man: Homecoming, said.

“It’s the little things when you have a moment to do something that feels more real or natural,” Aja added. She cited an example from How to Get Away with Murder when her character Michaela Pratt put a head wrap on before going to bed. “If I’m going to go to bed, I wanna put a head wrap on because that’s what I would do, especially if I’m comfortable in my relationship with someone. And for a lot of women online that was a big deal to them, to see that, because it feels honest. You’re seeing something that reflects yourself.”

Dear Evan Hansen stars Laura Dreyfuss and Phoenix Best also attended the summit that day.

Deepika Padukone looked stunning while stepping out for another event at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival!

Aja, on beauty rituals from her family: “Growing up, I observed [confidence] in my mother—for a young black woman in the job market having to prove herself, makeup became a thing that said, ‘I am flawless, and you cannot critique that.’I am flawless, and you cannot critique that.’ I watched her use it as a kind of armor. And I was able to grow into that boldness as well. There’s nothing like walking into an audition room and knowing that you are immediately being judged.”

Kerry Washington‘s Olivia Pope and Viola Davis‘ Annalise Keating are meeting for the first time in the Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder crossover episode airing TONIGHT (March 1) on ABC!

In the first hour of the episode airing during Scandal, Olivia gets a visit from Annalise, who needs help fast-tracking a judicial reform class action suit to the United States Supreme Court.

Photos have been released from the episode and Annalise and Michaela Pratt (Aja Naomi King) get the chance to meet with former President Grant (Tony Goldwyn) and current President Grant (Bellamy Young).

The upcoming Scandal episode, called “Allow Me To Reintroduce Myself,” will air on March 1 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.

Here’s a plot summary: In the midst of moving on from the White House, Olivia gets an
unexpected visitor in criminal defense attorney Annalise Keating, who seeks her help in fast-tracking a judicial reform class action to the United States Supreme Court. However, after Olivia’s recent fall from political grace, it’s going to be more challenging than ever to get the support they need.

Viola Davis and Aja Naomi King guest star on the episode.

The upcoming How To Get Away With Murder episode, called “Lahey v. Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,” will air on March 1 at 10 p.m. EST.

Here’s a plot summary: As Annalise’s class-action case hangs in the balance, a meeting with the esteemed Washington D.C. fixer, Olivia Pope, proves to be crucial in getting the opportunity to argue her case in the nation’s highest court. Meanwhile, Bonnie discovers concerning information pertaining to Simon that threatens to expose what really happened during night he was shot.

Kerry Washington and Cornelius Smith Jr. guest star in the episode.
