'Sopranos' Cast Reunite and Share Favorite Memories with James Gandolfini: 'He Was Really Special'

Edie Falco, Robert Iler and Jamie-Lynn Sigler flash a smile together on the red carpet while attending The Sopranos: 20th Anniversary Panel Discussion held at the SVA Theater on Wednesday (January 9) in New York City.

The three stars were joined at the event by their cast mates Maureen Van Zandt, Kathrine Narducci, Annabella Sciorra, Lorraine Bracco, John Ventimiglia, Michael Imperioli, Dominic Chianese and Tony Sirico.

Also in attendance to show their support was the late James Gandolfini‘s son Michael, star of the upcoming The Sopranos prequel Alessandro Nivola, and producer Ilene S. Landress.

The Sopranos recently sat down with the Today show to share their favorite memories of working with the series’ lead actor, James Gandolfini, almost six years after he died unexpectedly of a heart attack – Watch below!

Emily Blunt & Meryl Streep Hit Blue Carpet at 'Mary Poppins Returns' European Premiere!

Emily Blunt and Meryl Streep strike a pose on the blue carpet while attending the European premiere of their anticipated film Mary Poppins Returns held at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday (December 12) in London, England.

The 35-year-old actress and Meryl, 69, were joined at the event by their co-stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Emily Mortimer, Colin Firth, Ben Whishaw, Chris O’Dowd, Tarik Frimpong, Jim Norton, Jeremy Swift, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Pixie Davies, Nathanael Saleh and Joel Dawson.

Also in attendance at the big premiere was Emily‘s husband Alessandro Nivola and their daughter May Rose Nivola, Game of ThronesMaisie Williams, Colin’s wife Livia Firth, as well as the film’s producer Marc Platt, screenwriter John DeLuca and director Rob Marshall.

Rupert Friend Supports Gotham Tribute Honoree Willem Dafoe at Gotham Awards 2018!

Rupert Friend stepped out to support his At Eternity’s Gate co-star Willem Dafoe as he was honored at the 2018 Gotham Independent Film Awards!

The 37-year-old actor hit the red carpet with wife Aimee Mullins on Monday night (November 26) at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

That evening, Willem, who was joined by wife Giada Colagrande, was named the prestigious Gotham Tribute Honoree.

“A little bird told me that I have made over 100 films. That’s a lot. But really, I feel like I’m just starting, or I’m not half done,” Willem said while on stage.

Other attendees at the event included Elizabeth Reaser, Alessandro Nivola, Keegan-Michael Key, his wife Elisa Pugliese and Kieran Culkin. Robert Hall Winery helped host the event.

Alessandro Nivola In Talks for 'The Sopranos' Prequel Movie!

Alessandro Nivola is in talks to star in the upcoming movie The Many Saints of Newark, a prequel to the beloved HBO series The Sopranos.

The 46-year-old actor will play Dickey Moltisanti, a character who was referred to on the series, but never seen as he was murdered before the show began.

In The Many Saints of Network, Moltisanti will be “a charismatic but violent made man who falls in love with his own father’s much younger bride, a recent immigrant from Italy,” according to THR.

The character will mentor a teenage Tony Soprano and other characters from The Sopranos will be making appearances in the film.

Alessandro, who is married to Emily Mortimer, is best known for his work in movies like Face/Off, American Hustle, and A Most Violent Year.
