Stephen Amell is celebrating the upcoming premiere of his new Starz series Heels!

The 40-year-old actor stepped out for a 92Y conversation about the show with cast members Alexander Ludwig, Alison Luff, James Harrison, and Kelli Berglund on Thursday (July 29) in New York City.

It was just announced that Stephen‘s wine brand Nocking Point Wines will be honoring the release of Heels by releasing a Cabernet Sauvignon/Malbec red blend, Kayfabe.

The show’s pilot episode is titled “Kayfabe,” a term used in professional wrestling to mean the convention of presenting staged performances as genuine or authentic, and was chosen as the wine’s name to celebrate the series launch.

“Filming Heels put us all through a rollercoaster of emotions as we navigated a pandemic,” Stephen said in a statement. “That all being said, I am so proud of this show and grateful to have worked with the talented cast and crew who made it possible to get a glimpse into this arena that I admire so much. Being able to bring both my Nocking Point Wines and Heels worlds together by making a wine to commemorate the first season means so much to me. I hope people order the wine and enjoy it with me as we step into the ring and watch the season premiere together.”

The wine will be available to purchase on August 1 for $27 a bottle. The premiere of Heels will air on Starz on August 15.

Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig are ready to fight in the trailer for their new wrestling series Heels.

The teaser for the upcoming STARZ drama premiered on Monday (July 19) and it features Stephen and Alexander as Jack and Ace Space, respectively, brothers wrestling with their own lives and their late father’s legacy in small-town Georgia.

Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig try to choke each other in the first teaser for their upcoming Starz show, Heels.

The eight-episode series is set in a close-knit Georgia community, and follows a family-owned wrestling promotion as two brothers and rivals, Jack (Amell) and Ace (Ludwig) Spade, war over their late father’s legacy.

In the ring, somebody must play the good guy (Ludwig) and somebody must play their nemesis, the heel (Amell). But in the real world, those characters can be hard to live up to — or hard to leave behind.

Alison Luff, Mary McCormack, Kelli Berglund, Allen Maldonado, James Harrison and Chris Bauer also star in the show.

Stephen actually sustained a back injury while filming the show!

Heels is set to premiere August 15 on the network.

Alexander Ludwig just surprised a lot of his fans after announcing that he eloped to get married!

The Vikings star tied the knot with girlfriend Lauren Dear after a new year trip to Utah.

Alexander revealed that their marriage ceremony was very small, with only a photographer, officiant and their dog Yam as a witness.

“We decided to elope,” Alexander explained on Instagram. “It has been such a crazy year but it certainly put things into perspective. Life is too short And i didnt want to spend another day without calling this beautiful woman my wife.”

He added, “Of course when things settle down we will have a proper celebration with our friends and family but for now- the love of my life, our dog yam, a yurt on a mountain top in the middle of nowhere sounded like the perfect beginning.”

Lauren also shared the happy news on her Instagram.

“This last year was filled with a lot of uncertainty and doubt but this was the easiest decision of my life. I think we all learned in some way or another to look inside ourselves and find what truly makes us happy,” she wrote. “Thank you to 2020 for bringing this guy into my life. I will love you forever @alexanderludwig. You continue to show me what life is truly about every day and how to be strong, resilient and courageous. I am a better person by your side. 👰🏻‍♀️🤵🏼‍♂️”

Alexander and Lauren only announced their engagement in November, with her showing off her glittery ring in a cute pic together.

Alexander Ludwig, who you probably recognize from his roles in Vikings and the first Hunger Games movie, has announced his engagement to girlfriend Lauren Dear!

The 28-year-old actor posted a series of photos of him and Lauren, who is showing off the engagement ring. He captioned the slideshow of photos with, “Goldilocks and Bambi live happily ever after.”

Congratulations to the happy couple on the wonderful news! We can’t wait to find out more about their wedding plans.

Lauren is the co-founder of LAF Agency, which is an Influencer Management and Marketing agency. Next up for Alexander is starring in the upcoming Starz drama Heels, which focuses on wrestling. The drama also stars Stephen Amell and Mary McCormack.
