Alexander Skarsgard Spills on His New Stephen King Series 'The Stand'

Alexander Skarsgard is teasing his role on Stephen King‘s upcoming series The Stand.

The 43-year-old actor, who will play Randall Flagg on the show, explained how he’s getting inspiration for the character.

“It’s extraordinarily thrilling and exciting. It’s a fantastic opportunity, an iconic figure and we’re just getting started. I was up there last week and filmed for a couple of days,” Alexander said on SiriusXM’s EW Live.

He added, “I’ve loved it. Josh Boone is the showrunner and he’s been wonderful to collaborate with. He’s a real nerd, he’s read all of Stephen King‘s novels like 10 times…I have not read all of them so it’s been great because he’ll give me like, ‘Oh read this chapter from this book, they mention Randall Flagg and it will give you some insight to his background!’”

The campaign “emphasizes the importance of finding comfort in any situation – with the help of Clarks.”

“The Gallagher brothers of Oasis wore them, so naturally I had to get a pair. I remember thinking they looked too clean when I got them, so I asked my dad to run over them with his car. He went back and forth a bunch of times, so they’d look aged and worn,” said Alexander.

The campaign was shot in Stockholm and London. Check out the images inside…
