In September, the 38-year-old retired soccer player filed for divorce from Ali, 39, who recently completed her final season of professional soccer. The couple married in 2019 and share two children together.

Hairstylist Kyle Krieger took to Instagram this week to celebrate Ali‘s first NWSL Championship victory and he commented on the tough few months she’s had amid her divorce.

Some eagle-eyed fans have noticed that Ashlyn unfollowed both Ali and Kyle on Instagram after the post went live, according to Reddit posters.

Surprise! Ali Krieger and Ashlyn Harris are parents!

The soccer stars, both 36, took to Instagram on Sunday (February 14) to announce the arrival of their daughter Sloane Phillips, who was born on Friday, February 12.

Ali and Ashlyn both shared the same photos of their cute little family, along with a sweet message to their daughter’s birth mother and to one another.

“Dear Birth Mom.. Our promise to you: We promise Sloane will be loved every single day by us, our friends and our family,” they started. “We promise to give her the tools to live a happy, successful life of inclusivity and support. We promise to share her adoption story with her from the very beginning and celebrate every milestone!”

“We promise to encourage her to follow her dreams no matter how big or small,” they wrote. “We promise to be open minded and respect your wishes to have future communication and that she will always know how much you love her!”

Ali and Ashlyn married in December 2019, after they started dating when they met playing for the U.S. National Team in 2010. The two now play for the Orlando Pride.

“Welcome to our family, Sloane Phillips.. we are so in love with you already! This has been one of the most beautiful yet stressful processes I’ve ever experienced with you, @ashlynharris24 and I love you even more throughout this journey, if that’s even possible.🥰” Ali continued on her page. “When we first dated, we always spoke about adoption and always wanted to give a child a loving, happy and stable home. I cannot wait to give her the world and be the best Mom I can be with you right by my side❤️”

“Ali and Ashlyn concluded, “THANK YOU to our wonderful family, our best of friends, agency, teammates and coaches who have supported us fully through this process and now we are SO PROUD to finally share her with the world!
