There’s some good news for All American fans, but they should also brace themselves for some big changes in the future.

The popular The CW series was originally given a 13-episode order for season six, which is currently airing. The shortened season is because of the Hollywood strikes, which delayed production on the season and caused most broadcast TV shows to shorten their episode orders.

Well, the show is doing so well that The CW wants more episodes for season six!

All American is BACK for it’s sixth season!

The CW drama returns on Monday (April 1) at 8pm ET/PT with a brand new episode, and mostly everyone will be returning as well.

In the new season, Spencer and his friends are in momentous new chapters of their lives. Now juniors at GAU, Spencer and Jordan are officially eligible to enter the NFL draft, placing Spencer, especially, at the center of the media spotlight. Egos soon clash when a new addition joins the GAU coaching staff and shifts the team dynamics. Meanwhile, Olivia returns to L.A. changed by her time in London and invigorated by a new project to honor her father’s legacy.

After being apart, Spencer and Olivia try to reconnect as new versions of themselves. Layla also explores a new version of herself as she adds “club owner” to her impressive list of titles. While still happily engaged to Jordan, she faces growing pressures that test their relationship and her mental health. Coop flexes her legal muscles while faithfully supporting Patience through her healing journey, as Patience prepares for a looming legal battle against the superfan that attacked her last season.

Asher navigates life as a new parent while Laura settles into the next stage of her personal and professional life. And through it all, Grace remains a constant anchor for Spencer, and everyone else, when they need her the most, while dealing with her sons growing up too fast. Together, the entire group discovers that, even in their toughest moments, the best path forward is to seize today and lean on each other.

With the events of season five, and an unexpected passing in real life, there will be changes to the cast when the show returns.

All American is returning for season six on The CW!

The drama series was the first show to be renewed under the new regime at the network, dating all the way back to January 2023.

It was recently announced that All American is set to return for it’s new season on April 1st in it’s regular time slot of 8pm ET/PT on Monday nights.

With the events of season five, and an unexpected passing in real life, there will be changes to the cast when the show returns.

The CW is revealing new series premiere dates!

The network shared the season and series premiere dates for shows in April 2024 on Thursday (February 15), but there are two shows missing that are getting some attention.

The premiere date for Superman & Lois‘ fourth and final season is not featured on The CW’s springtime schedule. Instead, it’s being held for fall, TVLine confirmed.

There was a surprising cast exit on the latest episode of The CW’s All American and the showrunner is explaining why the star decided to leave in the middle of season five.

Not only has the actor left the show, the character was killed off in a shocking moment that has left fans stunned.

While the show airs throughout the year on The CW, it’s also a massive hit on Netflix. Each season is added to the streaming service once it has finished airing on network TV.

The CW has just ordered a spinoff for All American!

The backdoor spinoff, according to Deadline, will center on Simone Hicks, played by Geffri Maya.

The pilot will air as an episode in the current third season of the show, and it will be titled All American: Homecoming.

The series is set “against the backdrop of the HBCU experience. It follows a young tennis hopeful from Beverly Hills and an elite baseball player from Chicago as they contend with the high stakes of college sports, while also navigating the highs, lows and sexiness of unsupervised early adulthood at a prestigious Historically Black College.”

The backdoor pilot is the third spinoff ordered from the network, following Nancy Drew‘s spinoff Tom Swift and Black Lightning‘s Painkiller.

All American currently airs Mondays on The CW.

The CW had given new season orders to ALL of it’s current shows.

Batwoman and Nancy Drew have gotten their second season orders, along with veterans The Flash, Riverdale, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning and Supergirl.

All American, Charmed, Dynasty, In the Dark, Legacies and Roswell, New Mexico were also picked up for additional seasons on the network.

The only show left out was Katy Keene, a spinoff of Riverdale.

However, the show starring Lucy Hale, was given 13 additional scripts for it’s freshman season.
