Amber Holcomb hits the stage with British recording artist Emeli Sande for a performance of “Next to Me” during the American Idol Season 12 Finale on Thursday (May 16) at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

The 19-year-old contestant came in fourth place during this season’s competition.

After a week of safety for the top four girls on American Idol, it was time for one of them to go home and for the final three to be revealed during the results show on Thursday (May 3).

All of the girls – Angie Miller, Candice Glover, Amber Holcomb, and Kree Harrison – desperately want to get into the top three so they can experience the famed hometown visit next week.

The top four ladies on American Idol took on songs that are currently on the radio during the performance show on Wednesday (May 1) in Los Angeles.

The competition’s top four – Angie Miller, Amber Holcomb, Candice Glover, and Kree Harrison – also sang classic standards in the second round of the show.

For the songs from 2013, Angie sang Rihanna‘s “Diamonds,” Amber sang Pink‘s “Just Give Me a Reason,” Candice sang Bruno Mars‘ “When I Was Your Man,” and Kree sang Carrie Underwood‘s “See You Again.”

Candice Glover belts out the iconic hit “Love Song” during the Top 6 Performance Show of American Idol on Wednesday (April 10) in Los Angeles.

The 23-year-old contestant gave what the judges called one of the best performances in the show’s history. By the end of the song, all four of the judges – Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson, and Keith Urban – were on their feet.

During the show, Candice also received a standing ovation for her performance of “Don’t Make Me Over”.

The other five contestants in the top 6 are Angie Miller, Kree Harrison, Amber Holcomb, Janelle Arthur, and Lazaro Arbos.

Mariah Carey strikes a pose as she arrives at the American Idol 2013 Season 12 Finalists Party held at The Grove on Thursday (March 7) in Los Angeles.

The 42-year-old entertainer was joined by host Ryan Seacrest, fellow judges Keith Urban and Randy Jackson, and the Top 10 contestants Amber Holcomb, Angie Miller, Burnell Taylor, Candice Glover, Curtis Finch Jr., Devin Velez, Janelle Arthur, Kree Harrison, Lazaro Arbos, and Paul Jolley.

The twelfth season of American Idol is now down to the Top 10 contestants!

During the show, host Ryan Seacrest revealed the top ten contestants by first telling the contestants in a room that they made it through, and then bringing them to the stage to surprise the judges and audience.

In addition to making it in to the top ten, all of the contestants moving on will get to perform on the nationwide tour this summer. Ryan also announced that a wild card contestant will be chosen to go on the tour!
