A new version of The Intern is on the way.

Deadline reports that Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone are set to star in a Hindi remake of the movie that came out in 2015.

Amitabh will play the role originated by Robert de Niro. It was previously set to be played by Rishi Kapoor, however, he suddenly passed away last year.

Deepika will play the role originated by Anne Hathaway.

The Intern centers on a 70-year-old widower who has discovered that retirement isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Seizing an opportunity to get back in the game, he becomes a senior intern at an online fashion site, founded and run by a female entrepreneur.

The Indian remake is now set to shoot in November 2021 and release in summer 2022, and will be directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma.

Last year, Amitabh was diagnosed with coronavirus, along with his whole family.

Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek Bachchan have both tested positive for coronavirus and they’re both being treated in the hospital.

The actors, who are two of the most well-known movie stars in India, took to Twitter to share an update with their millions of fans.

“I have tested CoviD positive, shifted to Hospital, hospital informing authorities, family and staff undergone tests, results awaited,” Amitabh wrote on his Twitter account. “All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested!”

Abhishek added, “Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.”

The father and son duo are currently being treated at Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai.

If you didn’t know, Abhishek is married to Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai.

A lot of celebrities have tested positive for coronavirus throughout the last four months.
