Atypical is a coming of age story from the point-of-view of Sam (Keir Gilchrist), an 18-year-old on the autistic spectrum searching for love and independence. While Sam is on his funny and emotional journey of self-discovery, the rest of his family must grapple with change in their own lives while exploring the question: what does it really mean to be “normal”?

Jennifer Jason Leigh, Michael Rapaport, Brigette Lundy-Paine and Amy Okuda also star in the series, debuting on Friday, August 11.

Taraji P. Henson and Amber Rose hit the red carpet VH1 Big in 2015 with the Entertainment Weekly Awards held at the Pacific Design Center on Sunday (November 15) in West Hollywood, Calif.

Also in attendance at the event were Aubrey Plaza and her Parks and Recreation co-star Aziz Ansari, O’Shea Jackson Jr, Queen Latifah, dancer Cheryl Burke, T.I. with Tameka Cottle, Amy Paffrath, Hit The Floor‘s Valery Ortiz, How to Get Away with Murder‘s Kendrick Sampson and Amy Okuda.

At the event, Amber took the stage with Amy Schumer to talk about the pair’s similarities and it’s pretty hilarious!

The show will air on December 7 at 9/8c on VH1.

The 50-year-old Emmy winner was joined on the carpet by her co-stars Alfred Enoch, Jack Falahee, Aja Naomi King, Karla Souza, Matt McGorry, Peter Nowalk, Liza Weil, Amy Okuda, and Kendrick Sampson.

“Hey @kendrick38 remember that time we were shooting a scene with Viola Davis less than 24 hours after we found out we booked the role? #minorfreakout #HTGAWM,” Amy recently tweeted.
