Amy Poehler News, Pictures, and Videos
Amy Poehler plays the most epic game of Truth of Truth while making an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday evening (December 9) in New York City.
“What’s your biggest fear?” Jimmy asked Amy during the game.
“Easy. Being mistaken for JLo,” Amy answered. “Then being asked to dance. And dancing better than JLo. And JLo being angry. I don’t want JLo to be angry at me…that’s my biggest fear.”
The next morning, Amy went on the Today show to continue promoting her new movie Sisters, also starring Tina Fey.
Also in attendance to show their support for the flick were Broad City’s Ilana Glazer and Abbi Jacobson, Jane Krakowski, Natasha Lyonne, Jennifer Westfeldt, Rosanna Arquette, Taran Killam, Zosia Mamet and boyfriend Evan Jonigkeit, Jon Glaser, Greta Lee, Julie Klausner, Nico Tortorella and Ben Pratt.
FYI: Tina is wearing an Oscar de la Renta dress. Amy is wearing a Tadashi Shoji dress paired with Brian Atwood shoes. Maya is wearing a Peter Pilotto dress with Jennifer Meyer jewelry.
Amy Poehler sits down next to her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday afternoon (December 3) in Hollywood.
Amy recently revealed to the New York Times how she plans on seeing her upcoming movie Sisters in theaters with the general public.
“I like to wear a very inconspicuous, like, beer hat,” Amy joked. “And I’ve got like, a jean jacket with a fan picture of me on the back… And headshots of myself, just in case.”
FYI: Amy is wearing a Zara dress and Kurt Geiger heels.
Over the summer, producers at 2015 Comic-Con showed a behind-the-scenes from the Star Wars movie, and Amy and Tina redid that and it’s pretty perfect!

Here’s what the funny ladies had to share:
On sex tips: AP: When Merrill Markoe interviewed you both for Glamour in 2005, she asked, “Any sex tips?” And [you] said, “Make sure you don’t laugh,” and [I] said, “Try not to barf.” Would you stand by or amend those tips?
TF: I would say go ahead and laugh.
AP: I think I’d say go ahead and barf.
Tina, on playing a woman-child in Sisters: “Woman-child, I think, is in reference to the fact that there are many male comedians who play man-childs—man-childs is a word. I do think it’s fun to be able to play a character that’s in no way aspirational and in no way a role model, and the more female characters there are on-screen, there’s less pressure on every character to represent everyone. I love playing people who are flawed.”
Amy, on maintaining friendships: “It’s like a good marriage. My mom always says it’s very important to have people in your life who knew you when. The older you get, the more you treasure that idea of someone knowing your family and where you came from, and being around during these times and these times. Tina and I, we don’t have any sisters. So we’ve rented them.”
