The 49-year-old CNN anchor says that he was talking to Andy, 48, on the phone before their date, but the Bravo host broke his “cardinal rule” of dating.

Andy and I were first set up on a blind date, which never happened because we had a phone call and after two minutes I said, ‘I’m not dating this guy,’” Anderson said on Watch What Happens Live. “He broke my cardinal rule … he mentioned my mom within the first four sentences of meeting me.”

Anderson Cooper Grills Trump's Campaign Manager Over His 'Irresponsible' Speculation

Donald Trump‘s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway made an appearance on Anderson Cooper‘s CNN show on Sunday night (November 6) and he grilled her about his “irresponsible” speculation of an FBI investigation.

After the FBI announced that it would launch another investigation into Hillary Clinton‘s emails, Trump speculated that the new findings would lead to criminal charges.

FBI director Jim Comey revealed that Clinton was again cleared of any criminal activity.

“It’s irresponsible for someone who might be President of the United States to be, in your words, ‘speculating’ about an active investigation when he has no actual facts,” Anderson said to Kellyanne, who responded by saying, “everybody speculated.”

“If everybody jumped off a bridge, doesn’t mean you should, too. Don’t you think it is irresponsible?” Anderson added.

With a smile, Kellyanne responded, “No, I don’t think he’s irresponsible.”

Celebs Praise Anderson Cooper for Grilling Donald Trump on Sexual Assault

Celebs are praising Anderson Cooper by grilling Donald Trump on sexual assault right at the start of the second presidential debate.

“We received a lot of questions online Mr. Trump about the tape that was released on Friday, as you can imagine. You called what you said locker room banter. You described kissing women without consent, grabbing the genitals. That is sexual assault. You brag that you have sexually assaulted women. Do you understand that?” Anderson asked the presidential candidate.

Trump responded by saying, “No I didn’t say that at all. I don’t think you understood what was said. This was locker room talk. I’m not proud of it. I apologized to my family. I apologized to the American people. Certainly I’m not proud of it, but this is locker room talk.”

He went on to talking about ISIS.

“Just for the record though are you saying that what you said on that bus eleven years ago that you did not actually kiss women without consent or grope women without consent?” Anderson followed up. After Trump tried to get around the question several times by saying “nobody has more respect for women than I do,” he finally said “I have not” in response to the question.

Anderson Cooper Gives Tour of His Vacation Home for 'Architectural Digest' Cover Spread!

Anderson Cooper sits in a swing by his pool while posing for the cover of Architectural Digest‘s August 2016 issue.

The 49-year-old CNN anchor gave a tour of his vacation home in Brazil while on a trip there with partner Benjamin Maisani and their friend Andy Cohen. The home is in the town of Trancoso.

“Within a day I was fantasizing about buying a house there. Ben thought I’d lost my mind, and Andy, who is encouraging about almost everything, thought I was nuts, too. I’ve worked in 70 countries and traveled to even more, and I’ve never seen anything like Trancoso,” Anderson said.

While he can’t travel to his vacation home as much as he’d like, Anderson makes sure to keep a photo of the retreat in his New York office. “Just knowing that my house exists makes me happy,” he said.

Anderson Cooper Grills Florida AG Pam Bondi on LGBT Support

Anderson Cooper‘s interview with Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is going viral after he called her out for hypocrisy over her stance on LGBT issues.

The politician has said that she is championing the gay community following the Orlando shooting, though she was against marriage equality when it was an issue in the courts.

“I talked to a lot of gay and lesbian people here yesterday who are not fans of yours and said that they thought you were being a hypocrite, that you for years have fought—you’ve basically gone after gay people, said that in court that gay people simply by fighting for marriage equality were trying to do harm to the people of Florida. Do you really think you’re a champion of the gay community?” Anderson said.

“I’ve never said I don’t like gay people,” Bondi responded. She also said that she never said gay marriage would “harm” the people of Florida.

“The hotline that you’ve been talking about on television, which allows family members and spouses of the dead to get information, which is incredibly important, and I appreciate you talking about on the air, had there been no gay marriage, no same-sex marriage, you do realize that spouses—there would be no spouses, that boyfriends and girlfriends of the dead would not be able to get information and would not be able to visit in the hospital here. Isn’t there a sick irony in that?” Anderson added.
