Walking Dead's Danai Gurira Talks That Shocking Moment Between Michonne & Rick!

SPOILER ALERT! Don’t continue if you don’t want to know what happened on tonight’s The Walking Dead.

Danai Gurira, who plays Michonne on The Walking Dead, just opened up about her character’s hookup with Rick (Andrew Lincoln).

“I had a pretty good inkling something was coming soon between the characters, but when I read it I was still kind of surprised. There was something surprising seeing those names on the page doing that. Seeing it in writing was like, “Whoaaaa!” I was kind of thrown,” the 38-year-old actress told Variety. “We have a lot of fans who are very much about these two being together and they were picking up on something that was definitely there. I picked up on something since the episode ‘Clear’ in season 3. Mr. Gimple had written that episode. He wasn’t making all the calls at that point, it was before he was showrunner, but we actually chatted about it even then.”

Walking Dead's Andrew Lincoln & Norman Reedus Tease Rick/Daryl Reunion!

Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus speak to the crowd at 2016 Walker Stalker Con held at the Olympia Exhibition Centre on Sunday (February 21) in London, England.

Also in attendance at the panel were David Morrissey, Kenric Green and Sonequa Martin.

Recently, Andrew teased the reunion of Rick and Daryl!

“It was frustrating because I love working with Norman,” Andrew told EW of the lack of scenes together this season. “And I love the relationship with Rick and Daryl. It’s a huge ingredient as to why these survivors are still there — that relationship. Also, it’s been on screen for a long, long time — six years now. And it is effortless working with the man. I love him. He’s one of my best friends on the planet, along with lots of other cast members that I work with in this show. Particularly with Norman, though.”

“And these guys are stuck together. And that was the fun of this episode — you see a completely different side of both of these guys. It was different and strange and it will be a little bit unsettling for the audience, but it is much lighter episode — remarkably considering the episode before it is hardcore. But I think it was great to play,” Andrew added.

'The Walking Dead' Renewed for Season Seven!

This news is not going to come as a surprise to anyone – The Walking Dead has officially been renewed for a seventh season by AMC!

At the end of the seventh season, the series will become AMC’s longest-running original scripted series with 99 episodes, topping Mad Men‘s 92 episodes.

“Thank goodness someone had a Magic 8-Ball with them in our many long internal meetings about these renewals. When, on the third shake, ‘without a doubt’ filled the murky blue screen, we knew we had to proceed with new seasons of The Walking Dead and Talking Dead,” AMC/Sundance TV president Charlie Collier said in a statement (via THR). “All joking aside, we are so proud to share these shows with fans who have been so passionate, communicative and engaged. We are grateful for and continually impressed by the talent, effort and excellence on continuous display by Robert Kirkman, Scott Gimple, Chris Hardwick and the many people with whom we partner to make these unique shows possible. The result: More Walking and Talking. Hooray.”

Andrew Lincoln & Norman Reedus Grab Each Other's Butt in this 'Walking Dead' Photo!

Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus get real friendly while sandwiched between Melissa McBride in this brand new hilarious photo from Entertainment Weekly‘s latest issue.

Entertainment Weekly picture editor Michele Romero explained exactly what happened on set that made this photo possible:

“EW was photographing Andrew Lincoln, Melissa McBride, and Norman Reedus outside the former prison yard from season 3 and 4 of The Walking Dead. Lincoln and Reedus were behind McBride and Lincoln started laughing and was unable to maintain any actor composure in front of photographer Dan Winters’ camera. Lincoln NEVER breaks character and always maintains his American accent, even on a photo shoot. So this giggle fest was so strange to witness. Lincoln yelled for Reedus to stop and Reedus shouted, ‘Why? No one’s gonna see this!’ After a little investigating, we realized Reedus had been trying to hold Lincoln’s hand in the photos behind McBride’s back. Reedus knows how to make a great picture and also likes to give great imagery to his fans, so I asked the trio if we could shoot them from behind, and then I told Melissa McBride to turn her head towards the camera. They all complied, and then Reedus and Lincoln gave us something a little extra—taking their bromance to a whole other level. I love this picture because it just happened organically. Everyone needs a cheeky Norman Reedus.”

The two photos below are a front and back view of the same pic – can you tell that Norman and Andrew are grabbing butts?! Check out lots more over at EW.com.
