Angelina Jolie 'Didn't Care' About Amy Pascal's Hacked Emails

Amy Pascal is speaking out candidly for the first time about the Sony Hack and she is revealing Angelina Jolie‘s thoughts on the scandal.

If you don’t remember, the actress was called a “minimally talented spoiled brat” by Scott Rudin in an email sent to Amy.

Angie didn’t care,” Amy said. “Everybody understood because we all live in this weird thing called Hollywood. If we all actually were nice, it wouldn’t work.”

When asked about paying Jennifer Lawrence less money than her male co-stars in American Hustle, she said “I’ve paid [her] a lot more money since then, I promise you. Here’s the problem: I run a business. People want to work for less money, I pay them less money … Women shouldn’t work for less money. They should know what they’re worth. Women shouldn’t take less. ‘Stop, you don’t need the job that bad.’”

Angelina Jolie's Dad Jon Voight Says She Deserved an Oscar 2015 Nomination

Jon Voight wants the world to know that he thinks his daughter Angelina Jolie should have been nominated for a best director Oscar for her film Unbroken.

“I wish she had [been nominated], because I think she deserved it,” the 76-year-old actor told reporters (via Vulture). “I think her direction is astounding, really astounding, and if she wasn’t my daughter, I’d still say, ‘I want to work for that one.’ She’s a great actor’s director — the pace of the film, the size of the film. Unbelievably difficult stuff that she accomplished.”

Those receiving nominations for Best Director this year include Alexandro G. Iñárritu for Birdman, Richard Linklater for Boyhood, Bennett Miller for Foxcatcher, Wes Anderson for The Grand Budapest Hotel, and Morten Tyldum for The Imitation Game.

Angelina Jolie Opens Center to Combat War Zone Violence

Angelina Jolie and England’s First Secretary of State William Hague have just opened the first-ever academic center to combat violence against women in war zones across Europe.

The center will be based at the London School of Economics in England, and will primarily focus on women in conflict-related issues and on broadening accountability to end rape and sex crimes in relation to war.

“I am excited at the thought of all the students in years to come who will study in this new Centre. There is no stable future for a world in which crimes committed against women go unpunished,” Angelina said in a statement. “We need the next generation of educated youth with inquisitive minds and fresh energy, who are willing not only to sit in the classroom but to go out into the field and the courtrooms and to make a decisive difference.”

Ewan McGregor Reflects on '90s London Life With Angelina Jolie

Ewan McGregor is suave on the cover of Nylon Guys magazine’s February/March 2015 issue, out on newsstands on Tuesday, February 3!

Here’s what the 43-year-old actor had to share with the mag:

On his pornstar moment with Woody Allen: “And suddenly there was a lull in the conversation. I looked over and there was a wee old lady standing next to what looked like a porn star—this girl with peroxided hair, massive tits, mini skirt, big plastic shoes. They were both stopped. They didn’t know if they should walk all over the equipment. I hear Woody saying, No,bring your daughter through. Bring your daughter through. We both had a little ogle at the girl as she went by. It clearly wasn’t the old lady’s daughter. Anyway, Woody turned to me and rubbed his hands together and went, Well, life could be worse.”

On his wild, late-‘90s London life with Jude Law and Angelina Jolie: “Jonny and Angelina were shooting Hackers, Jude had done Shopping. I’d done Shallow Grave. We were all kicking off. It was happening. We were having a right laugh. It’s the ’90s in London. It was quite fun… That’s all you’re getting.”

On a Trainspotting sequel: “He’s now a Glaswegian running a gym in Amsterdam. I haven’t seen a script or anything. But it seemed to be quite real. I spoke to Danny [Boyle] about it. I met him randomly in a restaurant [last year] before he went up to Scotland to sit with our writer John Hodge and Andrew Macdonald, the producer.”

Africa, is a biopic on “Leakey, the famed archaeologist who became a staunch defender of elephants against poachers in Kenya in the late ’80s.”

“I’ve felt a deep connection to Africa and its culture for much of my life, and was taken with Eric’s beautiful script about a man drawn into the violent conflict with elephant poachers who emerged with a deeper understanding of man’s footprint and a profound sense of responsibility for the world around him,” Angelina shared in a statement about the flick last year.

Angelina Jolie Writes NYT Op-Ed on Iraqi Refugee Suffering

Angelina Jolie has just written an article after her visit to Iraq over the weekend!

“I have visited Iraq five times since 2007, and I have seen nothing like the suffering I’m witnessing now. I came to visit the camps and informal settlements where displaced Iraqis and Syrian refugees are desperately seeking shelter from the fighting that has convulsed their region,” the 39-year-old actress wrote in the New York Times.

She said, “For many years I have visited camps, and every time, I sit in a tent and hear stories. I try my best to give support. To say something that will show solidarity and give some kind of thoughtful guidance. On this trip I was speechless.”

“What do you say to the 13-year-old girl who describes the warehouses where she and the others lived and would be pulled out, three at a time, to be raped by the men?” Angie asked. “When her brother found out, he killed himself.”

Angelina emphasized, “What does it say about our commitment to human rights and accountability that we seem to tolerate crimes against humanity happening in Syria and Iraq on a daily basis? It is not enough to defend our values at home, in our newspapers and in our institutions. We also have to defend them in the refugee camps of the Middle East, and the ruined ghost towns of Syria.”
