Anna Kournikova leaves ABC studios after appearing on Live With Regis & Kelly on Tuesday (September 20) in NYC.

The 30-year-old tennis star and new Biggest Loser trainer was on to chat about the latest season of the NBC reality show.

Anna also talked about her mom, who “was like a drill sergeant” when she was growing up.

“She really instilled the commitment, disciplinary in me. It’s really helped me throughout life and that’s why I’m so passionate about sports and fitness and promoting that healthy lifestyle, and spreading the word especially to kids,” she shared.

It was recently announced Anna will join The Biggest Loser as a celebrity trainer on the upcoming season!

Longtime trainer Jillian Michaels will not return to the NBC weight loss show when it returns for its next season.

The 36-year-old singer will head out on tour in the United States this fall with Pitbull and Prince Royce.

This is one of the first times three Latin music acts will head out on tour together.

“There are no rules to music anymore,” Enrique said. “You can turn on top 40 radio and listen to Latin artists, and you can turn on a Latin radio station and listen to American artists, too. It goes both ways now.”

Anna‘s next project will be training contestants on the next season of The Biggest Loser.

It’s official: Anna Kournikova will be The Biggest Loser‘s new celebrity trainer!

The 29-year-old Russian-born tennis star is joining the NBC reality show as longtime trainer Jillian Michaels leaves.

But sources also told NYMag‘s Vulture that current trainers Brett Hoebel and Cara Castronuova will not be returning.

Executive producer Todd Lubin wouldn’t comment on Brett and Cara, but did tell Vulture the show “intentionally tried to not replace Jillian.”

“[Anna] grew up with very little in Moscow, pounding tennis balls every day when she was 5. That’s the drive she’s bringing to the show,” he added.

Anna Kournikova has been named the next trainer for the hit NBC reality series, Biggest Loser.

According to X17, NBC plans to make the announcement on the show’s season finale on May 24.

The 29-year-old Russian tennis star will join current coaches Cara Castronuova and Brett Hoebel, who both began training contestants on the show this past season. Longtime Biggest Loser trainer Jillian Michaels will not be returning next season.

To keep in shape, Anna, who is 5’8, “runs, swims, lifts weights and plays tennis.”
