Sarah Jessica Parker rocks a floral dress as she hits the red carpet at the 2016 PEN America Literary Gala held at the American Museum of Natural History on Monday (May 16) in New York City.
The 51-year-old actress was joined by B.J. Novak, editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan Joanna Coles, Jacob Weisberg and Donna Tartt at the event, where Sarah helped honor J.K. Rowling with the PEN Allen Literary Service Award.
“I feel like I’m speaking for millions and billions of people who would like to say the very same thing,” Sarah expressed. “There is nothing quite so rewarding as watching a child open a book and discover the utter enchantment that awaits them in the world of words. J.K. Rowling changed the landscape of children’s literature forever – and for the better – with her introduction of Harry Potter to the world” – Watch the full speech at the 1:40:30 mark below!
