Mindy Kaling flashes a smile alongside her former The Office co-star and best friend B.J. Novak while attending the For Your Consideration panel for her hit show The Mindy Project held at the UCB Sunset Theater on Wednesday (June 8) in Los Angeles.

The 36-year-old actress was also joined by her co-stars Beth Grant, Xosha Roquemore, Fortune Feimster and writers Charlie Grandy, Chris Schleicher, David Stassen and Lang Fisher while B.J. served as moderator.

B.J. recently revealed that Mindy used to prank him all the time on the set of The Office.

“She would lie to me,” B.J. told The Guardian. “She would make up these – just out of nowhere – purposeless lies that I believed.There was this director, this older woman who directed a couple of episodes [of The Office], and Mindy told me I couldn’t tell anyone, but Greg Daniels, the show runner, used to date this woman in college. And then Greg asked me what I thought of her cut and I lied to Greg and said I thought it was great, because I was nervous to insult his ex-girlfriend, so he didn’t make the edits that I wanted.”

“And later I asked him about it and he was like, ‘What are you talking about? She’s 20 years older than I am, we didn’t go to college together!’ I realized that Mindy just made it up and it actually affected my work life!,” B.J. added.

Sarah Jessica Parker rocks a floral dress as she hits the red carpet at the 2016 PEN America Literary Gala held at the American Museum of Natural History on Monday (May 16) in New York City.

The 51-year-old actress was joined by B.J. Novak, editor-in-chief of Cosmopolitan Joanna Coles, Jacob Weisberg and Donna Tartt at the event, where Sarah helped honor J.K. Rowling with the PEN Allen Literary Service Award.

The Story Time Celebration is the foundation’s annual benefit where leaders and readers team up to donate books to local children in Title 1 schools and in-need organizations in Los Angeles who do not have access to books of their own.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus flashes a big smile while attending 826LA’s 10th Anniversary Gala held at the Santa Monica Bay Woman’s Club on Tuesday (June 16) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 54-year-old Veep star was joined by Thandie Newton, J.J. Abrams, B.J. Novak, and Jimmy Kimmel who hosted the event in support of the non-profit organization, which dedicates itself to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.
