The legendary singer’s new album will be released on November 2 and you can pre-order it on iTunes right now.

“I had to write this song,” Barbra told Billboard about the song. “These times gave me energy…There’s a light coming in and hope for the future. We have to grow as a nation.” She added, “It’s my protest, in a sense, about this unprecedented time in our history. What it says about America.”

All but confirming the song is about Donald Trump, she said, “The Liar in Chief, the Groper in Chief. Yeah, I’ve written many articles about this… this person… who has no manners, insults everybody, makes fun of disabled people. I don’t know what to say, I’ve written like 15 Huffington Post pieces.”

Barbra Streisand Says She's Never Had a #MeToo Moment

Barbra Streisand is opening up about the #MeToo movement and how she has never had a moment during her career.

The legendary actress and singer spoke out during a PaleyFest interview with Ryan Murphy on Friday night (March 16) at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

“We’re in a strange time now, in terms of men and women, and the pendulum swinging this way and that way, and it’s going to have to come to the center,” Barbra said (via EW).

When asked if she had her own moment, Barbra said, “No. I mean, never. I wasn’t like those pretty girls with those nice little noses. Maybe that’s why. I have no idea, I don’t know.”

Barbra Streisand Addresses Inaccuracies in Variety Article

Barbra Streisand rarely gives interviews and the latest one she agreed to included some inaccuracies in the article, so she’s speaking out.

The legendary entertainer made headlines for allegedly saying she felt miscast in the movie Funny Girl and for opening up about cloning her late dog Samantha into two new dogs.

Barbra previously spoke out to say she actually said she felt miscast in Hello, Dolly. But now, she’s releasing another lengthy statement.

“When I do an interview, I like to be quoted accurately. I also expect the truth to be told, with facts checked,” Barbra said in a statement on her website. “This is why I’m reluctant to give interviews without having quote approval. In last week’s Variety article, they mistakenly made it sound like I didn’t want to be in Funny Girl! What??? I fought hard for that part! How could they make that mistake? I loved the character of Fanny Brice (they even misspelled her name Franny).”

“The film Funny Girl is near and dear to my heart! Not only am I proud of the finished product, it was the best experience I ever had making a film! It was a brilliant musical, combining a dramatic story with music. That’s why I wanted a serious director, not a musical director,” she added. “Working with two great men, director William Wyler and cameraman Harry Stradling, was such a gift to me. They always encouraged my ideas and told me I should be directing. They were never threatened. Willy was intrigued by the scenes I brought him every day from the tryouts in Boston and Philadelphia. Harry wanted me to direct a small independent movie as my next film because he respected my ideas. By the way, at the end of shooting, Willy gave me an engraved copy of a director’s megaphone with DGA on it!”

Barbra Streisand Clarifies That She Felt Miscast in 'Hello, Dolly'

Barbra Streisand is speaking out to clarify a quote that was attributed to her in which she supposedly said she felt miscast in the movie Funny Girl.

The legendary entertainer and Oscar winner really was talking about her role in the 1969 movie Hello, Dolly!

Barbra felt the role should have been played by an older woman. She was just 27 when the movie was released. In comparison, Bette Midler just played the role on Broadway at the age of 71 and Bernadette Peters, who turns 70 this week, just replaced her in the production.

“TRUTH ALERT – Variety ARTICLE (PRINT COPY). For those of you who saw the print edition of @Variety, there was a mistake in the transcript,” Barbra wrote on Instagram. “I was talking about Hello, Dolly! – not Funny Girl – when I said I was miscast. I will forever love Funny Girl, and am grateful that I got the chance to play Fanny Brice.”

Barbra won the Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her work in 1968′s Funny Girl.
