The 13-year-old son of the Backstreet Boys singer is making his Broadway debut in the musical playing the dual roles of twins Ben and Lisa. The show takes place on a cruise ship casino on the evening of a major disaster in the Big Apple and spoofs classic disaster movies while using a catalogue of ’70s music.

“Ben and Lisa are identical twins and have very different personalities,” Baylee told JustJared.com in an exclusive interview. “Lisa is bubbly and bright, and is definitely the singer out of the two, but she doesn’t know a lot about the world. Ben can be more helpful than Lisa, but he’s not as outgoing as her.”

Baylee also opened up to us about what it was like growing up in the entertainment industry as Brian‘s son and how his parents inspired him to become a performer.

Backstreet Boy Brian Littrell‘s six-year-old son Baylee has been diagnosed with A-Typical Kawasaki Disease, the singer updates on his official website.

Here’s what he wrote: “On Saturday December 20, 2008, Baylee T W Littrell was released from Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital in Atlanta. Before being admitted Baylee had been treated for or thought to have had strep throat, hand, foot, mouth disease and erythema multiforme. After receiving a biopsy, blood tests, an EKG and 2 echocardiograms, Baylee was finally diagnosed with A-Typical Kawasaki Disease. We would like to stress A-Typical because Baylee did not have text book symptoms of any of the viruses they thought he had.

“Kawasaki Disease causes inflammation in the coronary arteries as well as the walls of the small and medium sized arteries throughout the body. Unfortunately, Baylee‘s coronary arteries were affected. He received an IVIG, which is a treatment to bring down the inflammation in his coronary arteries. Baylee will be closely monitored for the next 6-8 weeks by a Pediatric Cardiologist to see if the treatment was effective.

“We want to thank every one who prayed for us as well as all of the emails and phone calls. Your love and support means so much to our family. The Hospital Staff were absolutely amazing. They made an extremely difficult time in our lives as comfortable as possible.

Brian Littrell of the Backstreet Boys is out and about with his wife Leighanne Wallace and their son Baylee Thomas Wylee Littrell in Toronto, Canada on Thursday.

Brian, 33, is currently in town with the Backstreet Boys who are performing a concert. Littrell and his family went to Starbucks for refreshments and signed some autographs for fans.

The Backstreet Boys have been touring in support of their sixth album, Unbreakable, which was released last year. The tour moves to Detroit, Michigan on Friday where the Backstreet Boys will perform at the DTE Energy Music Theater.
