The top thirteen contestants on The X Factor reunite for a special tribute performance of Michael Jackson‘s “You Are Not Alone” dedicated to the victims of the Newtown school shooting during the final performance episode on Wednesday (December 18).

The final three – Carly Rose Sonenclar, Tate Stevens, and Fifth Harmony – were joined by the voted off contestants – Emblem3, CeCe Frey, Diamond White, Paige Thomas, Beatrice Miller, Vino Alan, Arin Rey, Jennel Garcia, Jason Brock, and Lyric145 – for the performance.

Simon Cowell started off the tribute by saying some touching words to the people touched by the tragedy.

The ladies were joined on the show by their co-judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid, as well as new hosts Khloe Kardashian Odom and Mario Lopez.

This week, the top 12 became the top 13 after Diamond White was brought back into the competition. Also, 1432‘s name was changed to Fifth Harmony.

The X Factor became the first singing competition to announce the rankings of the contestants based on the audience vote.

Britney Spears and Demi Lovato appear on The X Factor‘s first week of live shows on Wednesday (October 31) and Thursday (November 1).

The ladies were joined on the show by their co-judges Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid, as well as new hosts Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez.

This week, the top 16 performed and then was cut down to the top 12. Each judge had to choose two of their teammates to give last chance performances and then make the final decision on who was going home.

FYI: Britney wore a Lever Couture dress on Wednesday and a LuBlu dress, Prada shoes, Marni earrings, a Kelly Wearstler ring, a BCBG necklace, and a Mango belt on Thursday.
