Ben Affleck will direct and star in a stand-alone Batman movie, Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara confirmed on Tuesday (April 12) at CinemaCon in Los Vegas.
The 43-year-old actor’s project was officially announced after the success of his latest movie Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.
“It set up a great foundation for our DC slate, which includes at least 10 movies through 2020,” Kevin said (via THR). “I’m also excited to know that we will be working with Ben Affleck on a stand-alone Batman movie.”
Warner Bros. also announced two upcoming opening dates: October 5, 2018 and November 1, 2019. One date is speculated to be reserved for Ben’s Batman movie, the other for Suicide Squad 2.
