The 27-year-old English actor, best known for his role as Prince Caspian in The Chronicles of Narnia series, plays a father who gets involved in a car accident that leaves his daughter in a coma. In the psychological thriller, he later finds out his daughter is fully living in her trapped state and tries to save her, only to find out he’s really saving himself.
Eliza Dushku and Sarah Roemer also star in the movie set to be released in 2010.

Ben Barnes is featured in the new actor portfolio for VMAN magazine’s summer 2009 issue #14, on stands May 14.
The 27-year-old British actor just premiered his new film, Easy Virtue, a loose adaption of a Noël Coward play, in which Ben and costars Colin Firth, Kristin Scott Thomas, and Jessica Biel find themselves caught up in a Jazz Age war of culture and class at an opulent British estate.
“I studied literature in school, and I’d read a fair amount of Coward,” notes Ben. “But I had never heard of this play. Probably because it’s so bad. I was really skeptical about taking the part until I realized that they had changed basically everything.”
Soon, he’ll shoot third Narnia installment. “Back in the saddle,” Mr. Barnes quips.
But Ben says he’s ready for roles that will take him out of costume and closer to the edge. “Maybe I can use the Internet to my advantage,” he muses. “A sex tape, perhaps?” Stay tuned.

Ben Barnes sports a longer mane of hair at a screening of his latest movie, Easy Virtue, at the AMC Loews 19th Street East on Monday (May 11) in New York City.
The event was hosted by The Cinema Society and The Wall Street Journal with Jaeger-Lecoultre and Brooks Brothers.

The 22-year-old Brazilian beauty received help from Tony (Ben Barnes, also known as Prince Caspian), Anita (Jennifer Lopez), Bernardo (Rodrigo Santoro) and fellow Sharks played by Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder) and Jay Hernandez (Grindhouse, Ladder 49). The Jets are played out by Chris Evans (Riff) and Cam Gigandet (The O.C., Twilight), Drake Bell (Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh), and Robert Pattinson (Twilight).

Prince Caspian star Ben Barnes has been cast as Hamlet in Ophelia!
EW reports the movie will retell the story of the “tormented young Dane from the perspective of his long-suffering girlfriend.”
English actress Juno Temple (Atonement) is also set to play a “young woman slowly driven insane by an unavailable man.”
Director Dawn Shadforth, who has done music videos for Bjork and Oasis, will give the classic characters a modern twist à la Baz Luhrmann in Romeo + Juliet.
Ben Barnes should be jumping up and down right about now. 20th Century Fox is saving the Chronicles of Narnia franchise!
One month ago, Disney severed ties with Walden Media in co-financing the third movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Variety is now reporting that Fox has taken over development and production. Wahoo!
The $140 million movie is expected to shoot in Australia and start as early as this summer. Prince Caspian cost $215 million to make and raked in $419 million worldwide. But that’s nothing compared to The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which pulled in $745 million.
