The first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog is here, and we’re getting our very first look at Jim Carrey as the villain Dr. Robotnik!

The film is a live-action adventure comedy based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega that centers on the infamously brash bright blue hedgehog. The film follows the (mis)adventures of Sonic as he navigates the complexities of life on Earth with his newfound – human – best friend Tom Wachowski (James Marsden). Sonic and Tom join forces to try and stop the villainous Dr. Robotnik (Carrey) from capturing Sonic and using his immense powers for world domination.

Ben Schwartz stars as the voice of Sonic, with Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Neal McDonough, Adam Pally, and more.

The film will hit theaters on November 8, 2019.

Zoey Deutch strikes a pose on the red carpet at the premiere of Buffaloed on Saturday night (April 28) at the Regal Cinema Battery Park in New York City.

The 24-year-old actress looked pretty in a red gown as she was joined by co-star Judy Greer along with David Arquette at the premiere held during the 2019 Tribeca Film Festival.

Earlier in the day, Zoey and Judy joined Ben Schwartz at Supper Suite‘s press junket event presented by El Tesoro at The Ainsworth held during the film festival to promote Buffaloed.

The film follows “homegrown hustler Peg Dahl (Deutch), who will do anything to escape Buffalo, NY. After getting into some trouble, she finds herself crippled by debt, and with her chances of a brighter future outside of her hometown squandered, she decides to become a debt collector herself and wages war with the the city’s debt-collecting ‘kingpin.’”

FYI: Zoey is wearing a Miu Miu outfit for the Supper Suite event and a Valentino gown and Louboutin heels for the premiere. Judy is wearing a Carolina Herrera gown and Jennifer Meyer jewelry to the premiere.

James Marsden, Ben Schwartz, Tika Sumpter and Jim Carrey pose for a photo at the 2019 CinemaCon on Thursday (April 4) at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The stars attended the event to promote their upcoming film Sonic the Hedgehog.

While they hit the stage, Ben – who voices Sonic – brought out an actual hedgehog with him.

The movie is based on the mega-hit Sega video game franchise featuring the speedy character.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are getting into the holiday spirit with A Legendary Christmas with John and Chrissy, airing tonight (November 28) on NBC at 10-11 p.m. ET, followed by an encore on December 12 at 10-11 p.m. ET.

The two will be joined by tons of friends and family members for their major holiday special!

Darren Criss, Jane Lynch, Raphael Saadiq and Meghan Trainor will help to celebrate, along with Awkwafina, Neal Brennan, Zach Galifianakis, Derek Hough, Kris Jenner, Yassir Lester, Retta, Sam Richardson, Ben Schwartz and Kim Kardashian. Kenan Thompson and Queer Eye‘s Fab Five – Antoni Porowski, Tan France, Bobby Berk, Karamo Brown and Jonathan Van Ness – also make cameos.

Plus, watch for cameos from The Voice‘s Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton, as well as Tien Tran.

John will be performing songs from A Legendary Christmas.
Stevie Wonder and Esperanza Spalding will also make musical appearances.

Ben Schwartz is stepping out after sharing his Sonic the Hedgehog casting news!

The 36-year-old actor was spotted while leaving a taping of New York Live on Friday (August 10) in New York City.

Earlier in the day, it was announced that Ben will voice Sonic in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog live action movie.

Ben took to his Twitter to react to the fun news.

“I. LOVE. 90S. BLUE. ICONIC. CHARACTERS. I am beyond excited about this movie. It’s gonna be amazing. I have been training by running, wagging my finger and impatiently tapping my foot. GOTTA GO FAST!” Ben wrote.
