The winners of the 2022 BET Awards have been announced!
The annual awards ceremony took place on Sunday night (June 26) with host Taraji P. Henson at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
Going into the big night, Doja Cat is leading the nominees while being up for six awards.
During the awards show, Sean “Diddy” Combs was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Lizzo is kicking off the night!
The 34-year-old entertainer hit the stage for the opening performance of the 2022 BET Awards held on Sunday (June 26) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Decked out in a gold disco ball-inspired outfit, Lizzo belted out her hot new single “About Damn Time.”
“About Damn Time” will be featured on Lizzo‘s upcoming album Special, which will be released on July 15.

Taraji P. Henson is using her platform to addressing the Supreme Court reversing Roe V. Wade.
On Sunday night (June 26), the 51-year-old Empire actress served as the host for the 2022 BET Awards at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
In her opening monologue, Taraji slammed the Supreme Court for eliminating federal abortion protections and allowing states to proceed with banning abortion outright.

The awards show took place on Sunday night (June 27) at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles with host Taraji P. Henson.
Going into the awards show, Megan Thee Stallion and DaBaby were the two most nominated entertainers this year, with both of them receiving seven nods.
During the awards show, this entertainer revealed she was pregnant while taking the stage for a performance.
Also during the show, Queen Latifah was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
