Rachel Roy Denies 'Becky' Rumors, Speaks to Beyonce & Jay Z Cheating Speculation

Rachel Roy has released a statement denying she is “Becky with the Good Hair” from Beyonce‘s Lemonade.

“I want to put the speculation and rumors to rest. My Instagram post was meant to be fun and lighthearted, it was misunderstood as something other than that,” Rachel told People. “There is no validity to the idea that the song references me personally. There is no truth to the rumors.”

“Consequently, online haters have targeted me and my daughters in a hurtful and scary manner, including physical threats. As a mother – and I know many mothers would agree – I feel that bullying in any form is harmful and unacceptable. I would hope that the media sees the real issue here – the issue of cyber bullying – and how it should not be tolerated by anyone,” Rachel added.

Beyonce's Fans Confuse Rachel Roy with Chef Rachael Ray

Fans of Beyonce got confused when word spread that the “Becky with the good hair” lyric on Lemonade was about fashion designer Rachel Roy… because they thought she was celeb chef Rachael Ray!

“He only want me when I’m not there / He better call Becky with the good hair,” Bey sings on the song “Sorry.” Rachel later updated on social media about her “good hair,” leading fans to believe she was the inspiration for the lyric.

Fans then mistakenly went to Rachael‘s Instagram page and left emojis of bees and lemons all over her posts, despite the fact that she has nothing to do with the drama.

One fan who was confused happened to be Black Lives Matter activist Deray McKesson, who is one of the 10 people Beyonce follows on Twitter!

“As part of the behive committee, I would live to apologize to you,” one fan said in a comment on the Instagram page. See below!

Will Beyonce's 'Lemonade' Stream Anywhere Other Than Tidal?

Beyonce‘s brand new album Lemonade is on fire.

The 34-year-old entertainer dropped the surprise sixth studio record exclusively on her husband Jay Z‘s streaming service, Tidal.

So will Lemonade be available to stream on Apple Music, Spotify, or anywhere else?

According to Billboard, Tidal holds the exclusive rights “in perpetuity,” but sources predict it will likely be available elsewhere at some point.

In case you don’t remember, Rihanna streamed her latest album Anti exclusively on Tidal before releasing it to digital retailers 24 hours later.

Meanwhile, Kanye West‘s The Life of Pablo was only available on Tidal for nearly six weeks (also due to delays on his part) before a wide release.

Rachel Roy Hints She's Beyonce's 'Becky With the Good Hair'

Rachel Roy may have just confirmed that she’s the one alluded to as “Becky” in Beyonce‘s new track “Sorry,” off her latest album Lemonade.

The 42-year-old fashion designer took to Instagram after the song dropped, writing, “Good hair don’t care, but we will take good lighting, for selfies, or self truths, always. live in the light #nodramaqueens.”

The lyrics to Bey‘s song imply Jay Z cheated and she sings, “Wave it in his face, tell him, boy, bye. Tell him, boy, bye, middle fingers up. I ain’t thinking ’bout you. He better call Becky with the good hair.”

A lot of people on social media think this refers to Rachel, who used to be married to Jay‘s former partner Damon Dash. They also think it relates back to the 2014 elevator incident with Bey‘s sister Solange.

Meanwhile, fans of Beyonce have taken to Rachel‘s Wikipedia page and edited it to say that she died “under a lemonade stand.”

Rachel has since made her Instagram account private, but you can see the photo she posted below.
