Who Went Home on 'The Biggest Loser' 2016 Premiere? Recap!

SPOILER ALERT – Do not continue if you don’t want to know what happened on the season premiere of The Biggest Loser!

The seventeenth season of The Biggest Loser premiered on Monday night (January 4) and one contestant was sent home.

Sixteen contestants started the season, which is being dubbed Temptation Nation as the contestants will be tempted with food, electronics, and more throughout their time on the ranch.

Trainer Bob Harper moved into the host position this season and Jennifer and Dolvett are both back to work with the contestants.

'The Biggest Loser' 2016 - Meet Season 17's Contestants!

The latest season of The Biggest Loser is kicking off TONIGHT (January 4) on NBC and it features some famous contestants!

Among the sixteen contestants are Survivor season one winner Richard Hatch and The Voice season two semi-finalist Erin Willett.

Bob Harper, a longtime trainer on the show, will be moving into the role as host this season while trainers Dolvett Quince and Jennifer Widerstrom are back to change the lives of the contestants.

The theme this year is “Temptation Nation” and among the temptations will be food, shopping, and electronics.

Alison Sweeney Leaving 'The Biggest Loser' After 13 Seasons

Alison Sweeney is not returning as the host of The Biggest Loser for the upcoming season after spending eight years with the NBC reality weight loss competition series.

The 38-year-old television personality, who is also well known for her work on Days of Our Lives, spent 13 seasons as the host of the show.

“After an incredible run together, Alison Sweeney will not be returning as host of The Biggest Loser next season,” producers for the show told Access Hollywood in a statement.

Who Won 'The Biggest Loser' 2015? Season 16 Winner!

Another season of The Biggest Loser has come to a close and the winner of the $250,000 prize has been crowned.

2015′s season 16 followed former professional athletes in their journey to regain their health. The final three contestants were former semi-pro softball player Sonya Jones, 39, former college soccer player Toma Dobrasavljevic, 33, and former college rugby player Rob Guiry, 26.

All of the contestants that did not make it to the final three were able to compete for the $100,000 at-home prize, which was won by 32-year-old Jordan Alicandro with more than 44% in body weight loss.

Ruben Studdard: 'Biggest Loser' Contestant for Fall 2013!

Former American Idol winner Ruben Studdard will be competing on the upcoming fall edition of The Biggest Loser, according to People.

The 34-year-old singer will appear on the fifteenth season of the hit NBC reality show starring trainers Bob Harper, Jillian Michaels, and Dolvett Quince.

“I’ve never had an issue with my weight,” Ruben has previously told the mag. “[But] my family has a history of high blood pressure, diabetes, heart-related issues – things I didn’t have to deal with yet because I’m young. But I don’t want to be worried at 40, and if I don’t fix things now, I will be.”
