Bill Hader Explains Why Justin Bieber Was the Worst 'SNL' Guest: 'He Just Seemed Exhausted'

Bill Hader is spilling on why he believes Justin Bieber was the “worst-behaved” Saturday Night Live guest!

The 39-year-old comedian and SNL vet opened up during his appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Thursday (March 22).

“I mean, we both know,” Bill‘s fellow talk show guest Jay Pharaoh started after a fan question.

“Yeah, it was Bieber,” Bill agreed. “He just was in a bad place. Maybe he’s in a better place, but then he was in a very … it was rough.”

Bill added that, usually, celebrity guests are “on great behavior” and “everyone is very excited. Bieber is the only one in my experience – he just seemed like, exhausted or just at the end of a rope. He was just so huge.”

Justin served as the host and musical guest of a February 2013 episode. At the time, he was in the middle his Believe world tour and had recently split from his on-again, off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez.

Bill Hader & Jimmy Fallon Can't Stop Laughing During 'Tonight Show' Face It Challenge!

Bill Hader stopped by The Tonight Show on Thursday night (March 15) and host Jimmy Fallon challenged his fellow SNL alum to flex a few of his comedy muscles — namely, the ones in his face.

The pair played a game called the “Face It Challenge,” in which they each have to make a funny face for a given scenario and then last 10 seconds without cracking up. Things don’t go so well for them, as they start laughing before Jimmy even finishes describing the rules. “This is gonna last five seconds,” declares Bill.

The first situation they read is “screaming on a roller coaster.” Bill, 39, and Jimmy, 43, lift mirrors up to their faces to prepare their best mid-coaster expressions, before counting to three and revealing themselves. As predicted, they last about five seconds before collapsing in giggles.

Bill also talks hosting SNL and describes what it’s like working with “The Fonz,” Henry Winkler, in his new HBO series Barry – Watch more after the cut!
