Anya Taylor-Joy is chic and sophisticated while striking a pose at the special screening of her latest film Emma held at the Whitby Hotel on Tuesday evening (February 4) in New York City.

The 23-year-old actress was joined at the event by her co-star Bill Nighy, director Autumn de Wilde, Focus Features chairman Peter Kujawski, vice chairman Jason Cassidy and president Robert Walak.

Also in attendance in support of the screening was Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, Justin Mikita, Manifest star Luna Blaise and Tony winner Lena Hall.

Here’s a synopsis for the film: “Handsome, clever, and rich, Emma Woodhouse is a restless queen bee without rivals in her sleepy little town. In this glittering satire of social class and the pain of growing up, Emma must adventure through misguided matches and romantic missteps to find the love that has been there all along.”

Emma also stars Mia Goth, Miranda Hart and Josh O’Connor and is set to hit theaters in a limited release on February 21 – Watch the trailer here!

Bill Nighy makes a dramatic exit from Annette Bening in the new trailer for their movie, Hope Gap.

The movie is an “intimate, intense and loving story that charts the life of Grace (Bening), shocked to learn her husband (Nighy) is leaving her for another after 29 years of marriage, and the ensuing emotional fallout the dissolution has on their only grown son (Josh O’Connor).”

“Unraveled and feeling displaced in her small seaside town, Grace ultimately regains her footing and discovers a new, powerful voice.”

The upcoming movie is slated for a March 6th premiere.

The upcoming film, out on February 21st, centers on the title matchmaker from the Jane Austen novel.

This Emma is “a restless queen bee without rivals in her sleepy little town and must adventure through misguided matches and romantic missteps to find the love that has been there all along.”

While chatting with Vogue, Anya and Johnny revealed that at one point in the movie, Emma gets a nosebleed and Anya got a nosebleed too.

“It was a real nosebleed!” Johnny shared. “It was in the script, but she got a nosebleed on cue.”
