Billions is back for the last time!

Showtime‘s hit series returns for its 7th and final season: each of the 12 episodes will stream weekly on Paramount+ with Showtime beginning on Friday (August 11), with the season premiere debuting on air Sunday (August 13) at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Showtime.

In season seven, alliances are turned on their heads. Old wounds are weaponized. Loyalties are tested. Betrayal takes on epic proportions. Enemies become wary friends. And the stakes grow from Wall Street to the world.

The first trailer for the final season of Billions has arrived!

The brand new season will bring back Damian Lewis opposite Paul Giamatti, Corey Stoll and Maggie Siff, and will return on Friday, August 11.

Each of the 12 episodes will stream weekly on Paramount+ with Showtime, and the season will also launch that Sunday, August 13 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Showtime.

Here’s a quick summary for the final season: Alliances are turned on their heads. Old wounds are weaponized. Loyalties are tested. Betrayal takes on epic proportions. Enemies become wary friends, and Bobby Axelrod returns, as the stakes grow from Wall Street to the world.

Billions will also star David Costabile, Asia Kate Dillon, Dola Rashad, Jeffrey DeMunn, Sakina Jaffrey, Daniel Breaker and Toney Goins.

Damian Lewis is back as Axe!

The 52-year-old actor, who plays Bobby “Axe” Axelrod on Billions, announced he’s returning for Season 7 of the show on Monday night’s (February 27) episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

He originally departed the show at the end of Season 5, returning for six of the 12 episodes of Billions set to air next season.

The show is currently in production in New York, and his return had already been spoiled via paparazzi photos that showed his character back with his co-stars.

“In season seven, alliances are turned on their heads. Old wounds are weaponized. Loyalties are tested. Betrayal takes on epic proportions. Enemies become wary friends. And Bobby Axelrod returns, as the stakes grow from Wall Street to the world,” Showtime says of Season 7.

There’s also some news about a Billions spinoff!

Showtime is expanding its offerings!

The network is working on plans to expand some of their most beloved shows with spinoff series, THR reported Monday (February 6).

“We have already begun conversations with our production partners about what content makes sense moving forward and which shows have franchise potential,” said Chris McCarthy of Paramount Global.

Damian Lewis has officially exited his hit TV show Billions.

The final episodes of season 5 began airing in early September. Here’s a synopsis for the fifth season: In the second half of season five, the presence of powerful billionaire Mike Prince (Corey Stoll) sends ripples through Axe Capital and gives Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) a potential new weapon in his fight against Bobby Axelrod (Lewis). Alliances form, get ripped apart and form anew, and everyone from Taylor (Asia Kate Dillon) to Wendy (Maggie Siff) gets roped into the conflict, which comes very close to destroying all they hold dear.

The second half of Billions‘ fifth season will be released later this year and Showtime just announced the premiere date!

The first half of the season aired back in May and June 2020 and fans have been waiting for a full year now for the rest of the episodes.

The final five episodes of season five will premiere on Sunday, September 5 at 9pm ET/PT on Showtime. The show has also been renewed for a sixth season, which will premiere early next year.
