Nick Gordon Pays Tribute to Whitney Houston Five Years After Her Death

Nick Gordon, who was raised by Whitney Houston from age 12 until her death in 2012, is paying tribute to the late singer five years after she passed away.

The 26-year-old posted a throwback photo of himself and Whitney with her late daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, who he dated until she tragically died in July 2015 after six months in a medically induced coma.

RIH is an abbreviation for “rest in heaven.”

Nick Gordon Ordered to Pay Bobbi Kristina Brown's Estate a Massive $36 Million

Nick Gordon was found liable for the death of his late girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown and he has been ordered to pay $36 million to her estate.

The family of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown‘s late daughter sued Gordon in a wrongful death lawsuit.

Bobby argued that his daughter was going to go into the entertainment field and that she had high prospects due to her famous parents.

“She was an entertainer. If you were around her, all you would do was laugh. She told a lot of jokes. She was always the life of the party…and anywhere she went,” Bobby said on the stand. “I know she had the talent to be successful.”

Nick Gordon Ruled 'Legally Responsible' for Bobbi Kristina Brown's Death

Nick Gordon has been deemed “legally responsible” for the death of his late girlfriend Bobbi Kristina Brown after he failed to show up in court for a wrongful death civil lawsuit.

Bobbi‘s conservator filed the lawsuit against Nick and he didn’t show up to court twice, so anything alleged by the plaintiff is legally considered to be admitted by the defendant through omission.

Nick is being sued for $50 million in damages and a jury will determine how much Bobbi‘s estate will be awarded. He will not be facing criminal charges though.

“In court today, we finally finished a long journey for justice for Bobbi Kristina Brown,” a lawyer for the Brown family said after court (via a local NBC affiliate). “The court agrees with us, by striking Mr. Gordon‘s answer that he is legally responsible for her death. The only thing left to prove is the value of her life. We intend to do that.”

Nick Gordon Speaks About the Night Bobbi Kristina Brown Drowned

Nick Gordon is opening up about the evening that Bobbi Kristina Brown was found drowning in the bathtub.

Bobbi Kristina passed away last July, 6 months after the incident.

“I blame myself for not getting to Krissy quick enough that day,” Nick told Daily Mail. “I can’t blame myself for another addict’s addiction but I feel like I failed her.”

Krissy thought I was with some other females and that’s when she got upset. She called and said I had to come home. I thought she had just been drinking, maybe smoked a little. She was upset, we got into a little argument and then we made up and went upstairs and lay on the bed for about 45 minutes and did what adults do,” Nick continued. “The Xfinity [cable] guy came and had to do a bunch of stuff in the house and I had my friend Max walk round with him. So [Max] walked him into my room to show him the box in there.”

“I knew instantly something was wrong. You know there’s a tone; you can hear it in someone’s voice…It was traumatizing.” About any issues with substance abuse, Nick said “she had problems long before I came on the scene.”

“We had a couple of miscarriages. We would have loved to have a kid but we weren’t planning on it yet and she was just such a young fragile person it took a toll on her,” Nick continued. “We wanted to get clean, settle down, get married, have kids.”

Nick Gordon Releases Statement After Bobbi Kristina Brown's Cause of Death Revealed

Nick Gordon has just released a statement on Bobbi Kristina Brown after her cause of death was revealed to be “immersion of face in water complicating mixed drug intoxication.”

The 20-year-old’s attorneys Jose Baez and Joe S. Habachy released the statement on his behalf, claiming his innocence after questions swirled about his involvement.

Nick Gordon‘s life has been tumultuous since January of 2015 when he lost the love of his life,” his lawyers said. “On top of being prohibited from visiting Bobbi Kristina at the hospital for the last six months of her life, Nick has been publicly humiliated for more than a year.”

“Throughout that time, the Fulton County District Attorney’s office has tried to make Nick a murderer despite having clear and convincing evidence that Bobbi Kristina‘s death was nothing more than a tragic accident, evidence that the District Attorney’s office fought to seal and conceal from the public rather than allowing her fans to know the truth.”

“The truth is that Nick tried to save Bobbi Kristina‘s life. The truth is that Nick cooperated with law enforcement since day one. The truth is that no one loved Bobbi Kristina more than Nick and no one has suffered more as a result of her death than Nick.”

Bobby Brown Slams Release of Bobbi Kristina's Cause of Death

Bobby Brown has released a statement to slam the release of his late daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown‘s autopsy results.

“First and foremost, 23 years ago today, Bobbi Kristina was born,” the 47-year-old singer said in the statement (via People). “Krissy will always live in my heart and soul. I love my baby girl.”

“For news affiliates to seek and obtain my daughter’s autopsy report, before anyone has been brought to justice for her death is mind blowing to me. Please pray for my family,” he added.

Bobby‘s attorney Christopher Brown also released a statement.

“Yesterday we were informed that two news affiliates were granted access to the autopsy of Bobbi Kristina Brown. While this action is unsettling, we will continue in our efforts in the civil lawsuit and the criminal investigation,” Christopher said. “Bobby Brown has had to be strong and mourn his loved ones in a fashion that is foreign to most people. So public, so raw, with apparently no end in sight. Hopefully public indictments and prosecution will lead to private healing and closure for Bobby Brown and his family.”

Bobbi Kristina‘s cause of death was revealed after media outlets requested that the information be unsealed.
