The list of top-earning musicians of 2010 has been released by Forbes!

Beyonce was the highest-paid female musician, coming in at No. 3 with $87 million. Her husband Jay-Z raked in $63 million, coming in at No. 6.

1) U2 — $131 million
2) AC/DC — $114 million
3) Beyonce — $87 million
4) Bruce Springsteen — $70 million
5) Britney Spears — $64 million
6) Jay-Z — $63 million
7) Lady Gaga — $62 million
8) Madonna — $58 million
9) Kenny Chesney — $50 million
10) Black Eyed Peas, Toby Keith and Coldplay — $48 million apiece

Bono is Ready to Rock After Back Surgery

Bono: Emergency Back Surgery!

U2 frontman Bono is recovering from an emergency surgery after suffering a back injury while preparing for U2‘s “360 Degree” world tour.

Bono has today undergone emergency back surgery for an injury sustained during tour preparation training,” his spokesperson told Reuters. “He was admitted to a specialist neuro surgery unit in a Munich hospital. Bono will spend the next few days there, before returning home to recuperate. Once his condition has been assessed further, a statement will be made regarding the impact on forthcoming tour dates.”

Get well soon, Bono. Can’t wait to hear your new music!!!

Hayden Christensen: Lazurus Effect with Gabourey Sidibe!

Hayden Christensen and Precious actress Gabourey Sidibe hit the red carpet at the New York premiere of The Lazarus Effect at NYC’s Museum of Modern Art on Tuesday (May 4).

The Lazarus Effect is a film that hopes to increase awareness for its efforts to fight AIDS in Africa. The flick will premiere on HBO, YouTube and Channel 4 (UK). Watch the promo video here!

(RED): The Lazarus Effect PSA!

(RED) is introducing The Lazarus Effect Campaign, intended to increase awareness for its efforts to fight AIDS in Africa.

The campaign, directed by renowned photographer Brigitte Lacombe, has celebrities rattle off items that could be bought for 40 cents (the value of one day’s worth of life transforming antiretroviral medication).

Celebs featured: Bono, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem, Julianne Moore, Claire Danes, Iman, Hugh Jackman, Orlando Bloom, Lucy Liu, Gabourey Sidibe, Kerry Washington, Bryan Cranston, Jane Lynch, Michelle Rodriguez, Gwen Stefani, Hayden Christensen, Don Cheadle, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ludacris, Common, Benicio Del Toro, Dakota Fanning and Christy Turlington.

The Lazarus Effect documentary will air on May 24 on HBO with director Spike Jonze as executive producer. Watch the PSA below!

Jessica Alba Blogs Her Trip to Africa

Jessica Alba and U2 frontman Bono take in a listening and learning trip to Senegal, Ghana, Mozambique and Kenya with members of 1GOAL, which hopes to provide education to all children. (Back in September, Bono and Jessica took to the stage together at NYC’s Clinton Global Initiative.)

The 28-year-old Fantastic actress just posted a blog about her recent trip to Africa, which she took earlier this month. Jess wrote, “I had an incredible week, joining the ONE team on the road in Senegal and Ghana as part of the 1GOAL: Education for All campaign to make the lasting legacy of the upcoming World Cup education for every child.” Read the full blog entry at ONE.org!

Billboard has released its list of 2010 Money Makers list, compiled from tour earnings, CD and digital sales, publishing royalties, etc.

Hare are the top 5 earnings:

1) U2 — $108 million
2) Bruce Springsteen – $57 million
3) Madonna – $47 million
4) AC/DC – $43 million
5) Britney Spears – $38 million

Young acts like the Jonas Brothers and Miley Cyrus came in respectively at #7 ($33 million) and #15 ($21 million).
