Bret Michaels is speaking out.
Earlier this week, the 59-year-old rock star was set to join his band Poison for a performance Nashville, but was rushed to the hospital after suffering a medical emergency.
Poison is currently on tour with Def Leppard, Motley Crue, and Joan Jett.
Bret later took to social media to address his hospitalization and to share some new details about his health

Bret Michaels was hospitalized in Nashville and new details are emerging about what happened.
The 59-year-old rock star was set to join his band Poison on stage in Nashville on Thursday night (June 30), but he suffered a medical emergency right before the show.
Poison is currently on tour with Def Leppard, Motley Crue, and Joan Jett.
Bret‘s bandmates went on stage to inform the crowd that they would not be able to perform their set due to his absence. They told the audience that Bret “had to go to the hospital for a bad reaction to medication,” according to TMZ.

Raine Michaels, the 18-year-old daughter of rocker Bret Michaels, has advanced to the final six of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit‘s search for a new model.
The model walked in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit show last summer in Miami and now she’s one step closer to landing a spot in the magazine.
“My oldest daughter Raine works hard and is a kind, humble soul,” Bret, 55, told People. “She was really excited to be involved with Sports Illustrated. She is at college studying sports journalism and broadcasting. Raine knows all the girls worked hard to get there and is grateful to be in the top six!”
Raine graduated high school in 2018 and is now studying at Belmont University while also taking music classes.
