Mariah Carey Cancels Brussels Concert Due to Safety Concerns

Mariah Carey has officially canceled her upcoming concert in Brussels, Belgium due to security concerns following the terror attacks.

The 45-year-old singer was set to take her Sweet Sweet Fantasy Tour to the city on Easter Sunday (March 27), which also happens to be her birthday, but the concert will not be happening.

“I love my fans in Brussels and at this time I am being advised to cancel my show for the safety of my fans, my band, crew and everyone involved with the tour. I hope to see you soon and send my prayers and eternal love, laughter and light to my Lambs,” Mariah wrote on her Twitter.

According to TMZ, there are no current plans to reschedule the concert.

Mariah Carey's Brussels Concert This Weekend Up in the Air (Report)

Mariah Carey is scheduled to perform at the Forest National venue on Sunday (March 27) in Brussels, Belgium as part of her tour, but her security team is reportedly advising against it in light of the terror attacks.

Mariah‘s team is reportedly “strongly against” her performing for several reasons. First being, it is her birthday and will be a highly celebrated event, TMZ reports. They are also concerned because she is engaged to billionaire James Packer.

'Batman v Superman' London Premiere Not Cancelled in Light of Brussels Terror Attacks

The London premiere of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will go on this evening (March 22), despite the tragic terror attacks that took place in Brussels earlier.

“Our hearts go out to the victims of recent terrorist attacks, their families and the communities impacted around the world. Rather than yield to terror, we’ve decided to join the film’s fans and move forward with the London premiere of Batman v. Superman this evening,” Warner Bros. said in a statement (via THR).

The red carpet for the event has been cancelled for safety reasons.

Batman v Superman is set to hit theaters this Friday, and stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, and Jesse Eisenberg.

Presidential Candidates React, Respond to Brussels Terror Attacks

The Presidential candidates have been spending the morning reacting to the tragic Brussels terror attacks that occurred on Tuesday (March 22).

Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton, as well as Republican hopefuls Donald Trump, John Kasich, and Ted Cruz have all released statements. At the time of this publication, Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders has not released a statement.

Hillary and Donald both separately appeared on talk shows this morning to comment on the events, which have claimed the lives of over 26 people, and injured hundreds of others.
