Katie Couric is reflecting on her former co-star Bryant Gumbel and their time on The Today Show.

The 67-year-old former anchor made an appearance on Bill Maher‘s Club Random podcast, and addressed his “sexist” attitude.

“He got mad at me because I was doing something on maternity leave and he was giving me endless s–t for taking a month or two off,” she revealed.

“I was having my first baby, and he was like, ‘Why don’t you just drop it in the field and come back?’ or something like that. He was kidding, but he was goofing on me and giving me a lot of s—t and it was emblematic of a sort of, incredibly sexist attitude.”

The news anchors flash back to a clip from 1994 where they are trying to understand the internet and email addresses.

“Allison, can you explain what internet is” Katie says.

Back in the present, she and Bryant attempt to figure out all the features on the new BMW i3 car.

“Allison, can you explain what i3 is?” Katie asks again.

Former Today show anchor Bryant Gumbel is being treated for lung cancer, he told Kelly Ripa.

“They took part of my lung and they took some other goodies,” Bryant, 61, said on Live with Regis & Kelly on Tuesday.

“The pathology on most of the stuff came back benign,” he said, “but enough aggressive cells had escaped the tumor that it warranted some treatment.”

“I went through that and it’s done now.”

Bryant also shared that he’ll be seeing his surgeon next week but is okay for the time being, saying he hopes he gets clearance to play golf again soon.
