Caitlin Crosby is Pianos Pretty

Earlier this month at Pianos in NYC, Caitlin Crosby performed “Flawz”, the title track off her new album, out June 23. Watch the awesome performance below! caught up with the Los Angeles singer/songwriter at the show, where she shared how the song came to fruition: “I was coming home from an audition feeling so annoyed and frustrated with the whole process, and I hated feeling like I was being scrutinized for all these flaws. I went home and washed off all my makeup and just stripped down to what I really look like. I took my guitar, and I looked at my hands, which weren’t manicured, and the first line of the song is “Here I am, here I stand, I took a picture of my hand, but you can tell it’s not manicured.” So I was making chords and looking down at my hands and my nails were all gross, which they shouldn’t be when you’re going for an audition. I sped home because I was boiling with thoughts and opinions about this subject. I just ran inside to my apartment and the whole song came out right then.”
