Jenna Dewan opened up about motherhood during an appearance on CBS’ The Talk today (May 6).

The 39-year-old actress held on to her sleeping newborn, Callum, while opening up about how quarantine was going for their family.

Jenna also talked about how daughter Everly was adjusting well to becoming a big sister.

“I prepared for everything. I thought maybe jealousy, maybe ignoring, you never know how it’s going to go,” she shared. “We do a little bedtime routine every night. She reads him a story. She’s really embraced it and stepped into her big sister role, quite well I have to say.”

Jenna added that fiance Steve Kazee is the best partner as they take care of Callum together in quarantine.

“He is amazing,” she said. “He really helps out so much every morning. I’m up breastfeeding three times a night, so he wakes up, he takes the baby. I get that extra hour and half, two hours to sleep in the morning…he’s just stepped into ‘new dad’ beautifully, like it’s shocking me.”

Steve Kazee is sharing a beautiful picture of his newborn son, Callum.

The 44-year-old Tony Award-winning actor shared a photo on Instagram on Saturday (May 2) of his son, who he welcomed to the world with fiancee Jenna Dewan in March.

“I wish I’d done this ten years ago. How could I know. How could I know that the answer was so easy,” he wrote.

“My beautiful boy. I hope you see this someday and know that your daddy loves you better than anything in this world and that, to him, you are the brightest light in this darkest hour. You give me hope. You give me love. You give me everything. I will never stop trying to give you all that and more in return. I love you son! Happy 2 months Callum!”

The 39-year-old Step Up actress took to Instagram on Thursday (March 26) to share the clip of her fiance, 44, with their 3-week-old baby.

“All the kisses ❤️,” Jenna captioned the video of Steve cradling and kissing Callum.

Steve also posted a sweet pic of Callum, captioning it, “Hello my son…welcome to earth.”

Jenna Dewan is opening up about giving birth to her second child, baby boy Callum Michael Rebel Kazee!

This is the 39-year-old entertainer’s first child with her fiance Steve Kazee.

Jenna revealed to People that Callum was born via cesarean section on March 6 in Los Angeles, while one of her favorite songs was playing in the background — “The Devi Prayer,” a 20-minute Sanskrit prayer conducive to relaxation and meditation.

“It’s a very peaceful song,” Jenna told the magazine. “It always puts me at ease. I put that on our playlist and I said to Steve, ‘If I ever start to look like I’m getting anxious or if I was having a rough time, just please play that.’ He was actually born to that song.”

Jenna, who also has a 6-year-old daughter Everly with ex Channing Tatum, said that she felt very prepared and present for Callum‘s birth this time around: “I’d heard this from a lot of people, that there’s something that happens with the second baby, that there’s a little bit more calm and peace in knowing what’s happening,” she said. “Knowing what’s coming down the line, you are able to be a little more present and enjoy all of it and it’s so true.”

Jenna also revealed what it was like to see Steve experience his first-time father birth: “It was incredible to watch the awe in his eyes of experiencing birth for the very first time, and the first time he laid eyes on our son,” she said. “He was crying the whole time and he cut the umbilical cord. Seeing his transformation of becoming a dad was one of the best things I’ve ever witnessed. It was beautiful. Birth is such a bonding experience, you’re transformed at the end of it.”

This is the first child for Jenna and her fiance Steve Kazee, who both announced the news on their Instagram accounts.

“And just like that, our hearts exploded into all of eternity and beyond ❤️🌈❤️ Welcome to the world you little angel! ❤️ Callum Michael Rebel Kazee 3/6/20,” Jenna captioned her post.

“In an instant our universe burst wide open and nothing would ever be the same. Welcome to earth star child. Callum Michael Rebel Kazee 3/6/20,” Steve captioned his post.

Jenna has a six-year-old daughter Everly from her previous relationship with Channing Tatum. Congrats to the happy couple on the wonderful addition!
