After finding out this weekend that Candace Payne, also known as “Chewbacca Mom,” has an amazing singing voice, a video of her singing the National Anthem has surfaced!

The viral internet star sang the Star Spangled Banner at an Astros vs. Mariners game just a few days ago and she knocked it out of the park.

Candace took to her Facebook account on Saturday to share her stunning rendition of the song “Heal the World” in light of the recent tragedies in America. She explained how she lives just minutes away from where the Dallas shooting happened last week.

Candace Payne, the woman who brought joy to the world with her Chewbacca mask video, is trying to bring joy to everyone again amid this week’s tragedies.

The Chewbacca Mom explained that she was at her home in Texas just thirty minutes from where the Dallas shooting happened.

“I am thousands of miles, hundreds of miles away from really identifying with every single ounce of pain that I know is being felt by the whole world right now… I’ve been spreading joy, but I found myself over the last couple days being silent because I’ve been so sad and so hurt by what’s going on,” Candace said.

Candace then sang a stunning rendition of the song “Heal the World” and she has an amazing singing voice!

Chewbacca Mom Candace Payne gives James Corden a ride to work with J.J. Abrams in the backseat in this carpool segment from The Late Show with James Corden, which aired on Monday (May 23).

During the carpool, J.J. surprised the crowd by popping in the backseat to give Candace some Wookiee impression advice. J.J. directed Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the most recent Star Wars film.

Later during the show, Candace got a surprise from the real Chewbacca Peter Mayhew.

Candace Payne, the woman affectionately known as “Chewbacca Mom” thanks to her viral video, makes an appearance on Good Morning America on Monday (May 23) in New York City.

During the interview, Candace said that she found the mask while at Kohl’s to buy yoga pants.

“I honestly wasn’t there for the mask,” Candace said. “I was there for myself for some yoga pants because I’m trying to work out more. And it’s not really going that well, but I ended up going to the toy section because I got discouraged about the yoga pants and I thought, ‘Maybe not today. But I can get a toy for my kids.’ And I walk through the toy section and I accidentally bump my shoulder into this box. And I had seen this before, but I didn’t realize it made sound until that moment. It accidentally started making the growl, and I went, ‘I need to get that. Like, I don’t think my kids need that, I think I need that.’”

Candace also talked about the best part about becoming a viral sensation.

“The best part of all of this is being able to share joy with people, hear stories of people coming out of depression,” she said. “I had one lady message me and tell me she has an autistic daughter that hadn’t laughed in two months, and she said every time she showed her the video she laughed and laughed. And from one mama’s heart to another mama, to see a child laugh that you haven’t’ seen laugh, those are the stories I will take with me every day.”

Candace Payne, the woman who captured the hearts of over 100 million people with her Chewbacca mask and infectious laugh, just got a big surprise from Kohl’s!

The new viral star mentioned in her video that she got the mask at her local Kohl’s store and the mention helped the mask sell out online and give a big boost in sales.

Representatives for Kohl’s showed up at Candace‘s house on Friday (May 20) to give her more masks for her kids and husband, plenty of other Star Wars merchandise, $2,500 in gift cards, and 10,000 rewards points.

Star Wars fans are definitely some of the most devoted people in the world and Candace Payne‘s love for Chewbacca is making her a viral star!

The fan posted a video on Facebook Live on Thursday afternoon (May 19) after she picked up a Chewbacca mask at her local Kohl’s store.

“I’d like to say that I bought this for my son that would really, really want it. And let’s be honest, he’ll probably confiscate it from me… He’ll probably take it from me. However, this is mine. At the end of the day, this is mine that I bought and I’m going to keep it for my own!” Candace excitedly said to her followers.

After she put on the mask, she opened up her mouth to let the Chewbacca noises come out and she started to hysterically laugh for over a minute and a half!

“That’s not me making that noise, it’s the mask!!!” Candace said.
