Chris Evans' Steve Rogers Might Not Be Captain America in 'Avengers: Infinity War'

Chris Evans is set to appear in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War movies, but it’s possible that he won’t be playing Captain America as we know him.

The character put down his shield at the end of Captain America: Civil War and directors Joe and Anthony Russo confirm that he is going to be a different kind of Cap.

“I think him dropping that shield is him letting go of that identity,” Joe told Huffington Post. “[It's] him admitting that certainly the identity of Captain America was in conflict with the very personal choice that he was making.”

In the comic books, Steve Rogers takes on the name of The Nomad when he loses faith in the government, so it’s possible that this happens in the movies!
