Carole Baskin Thought She Was Going To Be On 'The Tonight Show' But Turns Out It Was A YouTube Prank

Carole Baskin gave one of her first ever interviews over the weekend on what she thought was The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

Turns out, it wasn’t, but instead was a huge prank by two YouTubers, Josh Pieters and Archie Manners.

Apparently, Josh and Archie pretended to be from a production company which books celebrities for the show. While Carole declined at first, she did commit to it afterwards, on the basis that the interview would only be about the big cats.

To pull off the prank, Josh and Archie put together clips of Jimmy asking questions and had them ready to go for the interview. They explained to Carole that she wouldn’t be able to see Jimmy because of him filming at his house.

Carole, who became a household name after her appearance in Netflix’s Tiger King, has recently revealed what she really thinks about the documentary.

Kristin Chenoweth Parodies Tiger King's Carole Baskin in New 'Little Pieces' Music Video!

Kristin Chenoweth is taking on the role of Big Cat Rescue owner Carole Baskin in a new parody of the Netflix docu-series Tiger King!

The Tony-winning actress dressed up like Carole and filmed a music video in her apartment for her friend Andrew Lippa‘s new musical parody.

“Little Pieces” is told from Carole‘s perspective and it imagines that she really did chop up her former husband Don Lewis and serve him to the tigers in “little pieces.”

Kristin said to remember that this is a parody though.

“I’m not a court of law,” she told Broadway.com about the parody video. “I think you see some torment in there for Carole. She’s a cat lady who’s allergic to cats.”

Kristin‘s boyfriend Josh Bryant directed the video and her dog Thunder makes some cute appearances as well!

Carole Baskin Reveals She's Been Receiving Death Threats Since 'Tiger King's Debut

Carole Baskin is opening up in her very first interview since the premiere of Tiger King on Netflix.

Speaking with Tampa Bay Times, the Big Cat Sanctuary CEO chatted about how her world has changed, what fans should really be concentrating on from the film and more.

Carole stated that the jokes and memes around the internet have lead to strangers leaving messages on her phone at all hours.

“I’ve had to turn my phone off,” she said. “I can’t tell the real ones from the fake ones because they’re always out of state numbers anyway.”

Carole adds that everyone has been focused on the wrong story with the doc.

“They saw those cubs being dragged away from their mother. Where are those memes? Where are those comments?”

If you missed it, Carole spoke out against Tiger King earlier in the month as well.

The Search For Carole Baskin's Missing Husband Will Be Focus of 'Tiger King' Limited Series on ID

The search for Carole Baskin‘s missing husband is on and Investigation Discovery will be diving deep into the mystery of his disappearance.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the network has announced a limited docuseries that will focus on Jack Donald “Don” Lewis‘s disappearance.

“Love her or hate her, Carole is now in the center ring of the big cat circus,” ID shared in a statement about the show. “Is she a selfless crusader and protector of animals, who found unimaginable strength despite the mysterious disappearance of her husband? Or are we witnessing Carole Baskin’s master plan finally take effect?”

It continues, “Despite her claims of innocence, did she orchestrate the disappearance of Don Lewis to seize control of his fortune, consolidate power and lay waste to her foes? No one seems to be talking – except for one man – and that man is the center of ID’s upcoming investigative series.”

The project is titled Investigating the Strange World of Joe Exotic, and ID says that you’ll get to see “the investigation you didn’t, and revealing the secrets only Joe knows and the exclusive footage that has never been shown.”

Don Lewis went missing in 1997 and Carole has denied any involvement in it. The case is still open.
