Charlie Weber and Liza Weil are over.

The 40-year-old How to Get Away with Murder actor confirmed that he and his 41-year-old co-star have split up after almost two and a half years of dating.

“Liza and I share an amazing relationship rooted in love and respect. That relationship has found its way back to the great friendship we’ve always had,” Charlie said in a statement to People. “We will continue to support each other and will always love working together.”

Charlie and Liza were first spotted holding hands back in June 2017 before confirming that they’ve actually been dating since the summer of 2016.

Charlie Weber is on the cover of LaPalme Magazine‘s Men’s Fall 2018 issue, out now.

On his Abercrombie & Fitch modeling days: “It’s hilarious that it was that many years ago.“It was funny to be a part of something at such a young age because it was such a big deal back then. It’s a hilarious, awesome thing to look back on. The pictures are still beautiful; Bruce Weber is a talented guy.”

On his roles: “I’ve always responded to troubled people…looking back, they are all pretty damaged and complicated and have some sense of hope and heart despite their situation. Those roles always present themselves to me.”

On his 13-year-old daughter: “I love hanging out with her. She’s at an age where we’re terrific friends and get to do stuff together—she likes the same movies I do.”

Charlie Weber is opening up about his relationship with Liza Weil, his co-star from How to Get Away with Murder who he has been dating for the past year.

The 38-year-old actor, whose new movie ExPatriot is available now on demand, spoke with the hosts of the Allegedly podcast. Here’s what he had to say:

On working together on the show: “I enjoy it quite a bit. We’re very like-minded when it comes to our approach of acting. [We're] two actors very dedicated to what they do and have a very easy time separating who we are and who we are as characters.”

On how their relationship started: “We were great friends and found ourselves in a position to be more than that and we did… You spend a lot of time [together] and then we very much enjoyed spending time away from work. It all just kind of came together like that. I’m very happy.”

The 38-year-old actor and the 39-year-old actress were spotted holding hands on Tuesday (June 6) in Los Angeles and JustJared.com can exclusively reveal that they are dating!

“They have been dating under the radar for nearly a year,” a source told JustJared.com. The couple grew close after they both got divorced early last year.

Charlie took to Twitter this week to wish his “beautiful partner in crime” a happy birthday. “Happy Birthday to my beautiful and talented partner in crime….. @liza_weil 🍾🎈🎊🎁🎊🎁🎉🍾,” he wrote.

Here’s what the 38-year-old How to Get Away with Murder actor had to share with the mag:

On deciding to be an actor when he was a teen: “I just didn’t know if that was a possibility that people could do that where I’m from. I’m just from a small town in mid-Missouri and I think ultimately by the time I got to college I did realise that that just wasn’t my style and I decided to go see what was out there.”

On booking a role on Buffy: “I think the good part was that it didn’t sink it what a big deal that was to me. I was just really happy to be on a cool show with good people and in retrospect, I’m glad it didn’t sink in because I think that would have been very intimidating and so I just kind of went into it with my guns blazing to see what would happen. It was a really great experience and just a really good set to cut your teeth on.”

On Viola Davis: You see how she works and you see the focus and the dedication, and those lessons are learned over such a period of time that I can’t really speak to one event, but it just comes from being around her.”
