Cheryl Cole is speaking out about those Liam Payne cheating rumors.

The rumors started online when an unspecified article allegedly claimed that the 24-year-old “Strip That Down” singer was involved with one of his backup dancers.

“I usually don’t bother myself to respond to stupid articles,” Cheryl tweeted on Friday (March 30). “But in my silence, they hold the pen. This is a stupid article, clutching at very small straws.”

“But I can’t ignore this story involving an innocent dancer colleague of Liam‘s who has a fiancé, and dragging them into this desperate attempt to try to cause problems between Liam and I,” she continued. “Nor do I understand the almost daily onslaught of stories.”

She finished, “The other ‘mystery woman’ in the story happens to be my long term friend and manger [face palm emoji] (that’s embarrassing) I also happen to love Katy Perry [shrugging emoji].”

“Now.. off on our holiday,” she added in another tweet. “And the only thing we’re making are memories. And breaking is our healthy eating 😁 toodles 🙋🏻‍♀️.”

The couple has been dating since 2016 and recently celebrated their son Bear‘s 1st birthday.

Liam Payne was asked to address the rumors that he and Cheryl Cole are having relationship issues and are just putting a “loved-up display for the cameras.”

The 24-year-old entertainer told ES magazine, “The funniest thing was a week before we were getting married. The next week we’re splitting up.”

“And the thing for me is, I just like to think we’re somewhere in the middle. You know, we have our struggles — like, of course I’m not gonna sit here and say that everything’s absolutely fine and dandy, because of course you go through different things, and that’s what a relationship is. But we go through them together as a family and that’s the most important thing for me,” he added.

Liam and Cheryl, 34, were first linked in 2015 and welcomed their son Bear in March 2017.

Tom Hardy is all smiles as he hits the stage to give a speech at the 2018 Prince’s Trust Awards held at The London Palladium on Tuesday (March 6) in London, England.

The 40-year-old Venom star was joined at the event by Cheryl Cole, Bryan Cranston, Helen McCrory, Olly Murs, Melanie C of the Spice Girls, Caroline Flack, Tom Jones, Naughty Boy, Laura Whitmore and Olivia Coleman.

The awards recognise those who have overcome issues such as abuse, drug addiction, homelessness and depression and have gone on to have successful lives.

Award categories include Young Achiever, Rising Star and Community Impact and the ceremony will see the Trust present the inaugural Mentor of the Year Award.

Liam Payne holds hands with Cheryl while leaving one of the after parties, following the 2018 BRIT Awards, in London on Wednesday night (February 21).

Inside the after party, the sweet couple ran into Liam‘s former One Direction bandmate, Niall Horan.

“What a surprise end to my night,” Liam shared on his Instagram Stories with fans.

Liam actually performed “For You” with Rita Ora at the annual award show.

Cheryl Cole is hitting back after reports surfaced suggesting that she and Liam Payne are splitting up – and that their relationship is just a “stunt.”

The 34-year-old “Fight For This Love” pop superstar addressed the rumors on Thursday afternoon (February 22) on her social media.

The couple attended the 2018 BRIT Awards together on Wednesday (February 21).
