Chris Brown‘s lawyer is speaking out after the singer was arrested for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon earlier this week.
The 27-year-old entertainer has since been released from jail and his lawyer Mark Geragos is aiming to correct false information in the media.
In a press release, Mark said that there was no standoff between Chris and the police and that Chris remained in his home under his advice. He added that Chris was completely cooperative and his 2-year-old daughter Royalty was not present.
“From the best of my knowledge, for the entire time I was there, there was no gun – or guns – found in that house whatsoever. There were no drugs, that I’m aware, that were found in that house whatsoever,” he explained.
Mark also said they are now investigating the woman who made the claims, explaining that she allegedly sent text messages plotting to set up Chris.
