Chris Brown Maintains Innocence in Gun Assault Arrest: 'My Character's Been Defaced'

Chris Brown is maintaining his innocence after a woman, Baylee Curran, claims he pulled a gun on her after admiring jewelry.

“I cannot wait till the truth comes to light about this incident and this situation,” the 27-year-old entertainer said in a new video from Good Morning America and ABC News. “You know, because my character’s been defaced and who I am as a person and my integrity…I’m glad that all my real supporters know me, and know the truth and see the truth.”

Chris and his lawyer say they have proof that Baylee is lying in the form of a text she sent to a friend, saying, “This freak Chris Brown is kicking me out of his house because I called his friend’s jewelry fake…I’m going to set him up and call the cops and say that he tried to shoot me and that will teach him a lesson. I’m going to set his A** up.”

Baylee, however, alleges, “I was just standing over it admiring it. Not touching it…and then one of Chris’s friends says back away from the diamond. That’s when Chris came in and said ‘I’m so sick of all of you people.’ He took the gun out put it in my face and said ‘get the F out.’”

Chris Brown Released From Prison, Lawyer Says Allegations Are 'Demonstrably False'

Chris Brown was released from prison late Tuesday evening (August 30), after being arrested earlier in the day for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

The 27-year-old entertainer allegedly pulled a gun on a woman, but he denied those claims in some now-deleted videos.

Chris‘ lawyer Mark Geragos confirmed, “Thanks to everyone for their support and well wishes. Chris is out and well. The allegations against him are demonstrably false #TeamBreezy.” Chris posted a screen shot of Mark’s tweet to his Instagram, and also updated with a video message from Ray J, who was with Chris at the time of the alleged incident.

“Yo, this Ray J. Check it out. I’m real upset about today. I’m not happy with how things are handled and how people can take a false story and blow it up into something way more than what it should be. You got just positive people around and you look outside and it’s like a war zone for no reason for somebody, some stranger said about something that don’t got nothing to do with nothing. And to react like that so fast without really knowing the facts and knowing what’s up ain’t cool, and you know, it’s just not right. It shouldn’t be like this. I support the homie Chris and I support the whole movement. I’m here, and again, man, this s–t has to change. It can’t be like this every time somebody yippin’ and yappin’ to get an extra buck. You know it turns around and it’s all back on us. Ain’t cool,” Ray J said in the video.

We’ve reached out to Chris‘ rep for comment.
