Victoria Fuller Reveals She & Chris Soules Have Split Up

Victoria Fuller and Chris Soules have called it quits.

Victoria, 26, confirmed that she and Chris, 38, had split during her interview on Nick Viall‘s The Viall Files podcast.

“I am just living my best life,” Victoria shared. “We went a separate direction, but I, like, respect him so much and I think he’s an amazing man. I just think that right now, I’m in such a different place than he is.”

Victoria and Chris first started dating in April after meeting through mutual friend and former The Bachelor contestant Kelsey Weier, who competed with Victoria on Peter Weber‘s season of the reality show.

Despite their long-distanced relationship – Chris lives in Iowa and Victoria lives in Virginia Beach – the two were able to make it work for four months.

“I’m not moving to Iowa anytime soon so I just want to focus on me,” Victoria continued. “It’s been so much about other people this year that I just really want to hone in on what I want to accomplish and what I want to get out of this year.”

Despite the breakup, Victoria and Chris are still in touch.

“I still talk to him all the time,” she explained. “I think he’s amazing. We are a lot alike, but I just want to focus on myself right now. I am not a farmer, but I know a lot about f–king corn now so there’s that.”

The Bachelor's Victoria Fuller Talks Dating Chris Soules, Says 'We're Really Happy'

Victoria Fuller is opening up for the first time about her relationship with Chris Soules.

“We’re really happy,” Victoria, 26, told People about her relationship with Chris, 38. “The last few months have been really special for us. We’re enjoying each other!”

Victoria and Chris have been dating for the past four months after meeting through mutual friend and former The Bachelor contestant Kelsey Weier, who competed with Victoria on Peter Weber‘s season of the reality show.

“She was like, ‘I think he’s single and he’s very attractive, you should talk to him,’” Victoria recalled. “He ended up texting me [in March], and we connected. Some people said he slid into my DMs, but he literally owns an iPhone 2 and can barely send out a text! But if he had, I would have responded.”

In early April, Victoria traveled to Chris‘ hometown of Arlington, Iowa so that they could meet for the first time. She currently lives in Virginia Beach.

“I think we were both really nervous,” Victoria said. “But it wasn’t awkward. It felt really natural. And immediately, I was like, ‘I really like him!’ I felt a genuine connection. And Iowa is so quiet — we were able to just focus on each other and enjoy each other’s company.”

“It’s nice to be able to share that commonality,” Victoria continued. “But Chris got to know me for me, not for what he saw on the show. And I’m grateful the way things ended on the show — it worked out!”

Victoria also mentioned that Chris is “a good one…He’s the best.”

The Bachelor's Chris Soules Explained Why He Fled Scene of Fatal Car Accident

In April of 2017, former Bachelor Chris Soules was in a fatal car accident which resulted in the death of a man driving a tractor on a rural road. Chris, who was driving the car that hit the man’s tractor, left the scene of the crime and was later arrested for fleeing.

Now, Chris is explaining why he decided to leave the scene of the crime.

“I was on my way to pick up one of our hired men,” Chris said on GMA on Thursday (September 19). “I was driving down a rural road, a country road in the dark and the next thing I know I’m basically coming to inside of one of our pickups.”

After the crash, Chris said, “All I remember is waking up and — and radioing to my father and all my hired men, just saying, ‘I need help.’”

When the paramedics arrived, Chris decided it was okay for him to leave the scene.

“I don’t know that I was thinking clearly. I notified the authorities of what had happened, the paramedics were there, but now I know I was scared and wanted to be in a safer place and be outta there,” Chris added. “I had nothing to hide, honestly.”

Police reports form the scene of the crime indicate there were alcoholic beverages in the car that Chris was driving, but Chris said that car was used for work purposes only and shared by many men.

“I was not drinking that night. The fact is the truck is not mine. It’s not even in my name. We employ over 15 people that — at any time use that truck for work-related things … and those cans could have been anybody’s,” Chris added. “There were four witnesses that swore under oath that they saw no evidence of me appearing to be intoxicated or under the influence of any sort of drug or alcohol.”
