Chris Soules is in police custody after allegedly hitting a John Deere tractor trailer with his truck, killing the driver, and fleeing the scene.

The tragic event happened on Monday evening (April 24) in Iowa. If you don’t know, Chris was The Bachelor back in 2015, and ended up getting engaged to Whitney Bischoff. Chris and Whitney split just a few months later.

Since the news broke that Chris reportedly killed a man, Twitter has been reacting.

Chris Soules has been arrested after allegedly killing someone in a car crash and reportedly fleeing the scene.

The 35-year-old former Bachelor, whose season aired in 2015, was driving a Chevy pickup on Monday (April 24) in Iowa and rear ended a John Deere tractor trailer. The tractor trailer was sent into a ditch and that driver died later at the hospital, TMZ reports.

Chris reportedly received medical attention after the accident, and is currently in police custody. He was booked for leaving the scene with a death.

Whitney Bischoff has broken her silence after ending her engagement to The Bachelor‘s Chris Soules.

“Now this little gal knows how to make me smile! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for your outpouring love, kindness and support! It means so much to me!” the 29-year-old fertility nurse wrote on Instagram with a cute video of a young girl.

In case you didn’t know, Whitney and Chris made the tough decision to end their relationship after two months together.

Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff have split just two months after The Bachelor finale aired.

Mike Fleiss, the creator of The Bachelor, broke the news on his Twitter account earlier in the day.

“Whitney Bischoff and Chris Soules have mutually and amicably decided to end their engagement,” the couple added to Us Weekly in a statement. “They part with nothing but respect and admiration for one another and will continue to be supportive friends. They wish to thank everyone who has supported them through this journey.”

There were rumors that things were rocky between Chris and Whitney when she failed to show at some of his final Dancing with the Stars performances.

The season finale of Dancing With the Stars kicked off with an energetic group dance number to reunite all the contestants from this year.

Featured in the number are the three finalists – actress & singer Rumer Willis, R5 singer and actor Riker Lynch, and combat soldier Noah Galloway – as well as the nine contestants previously eliminated.
