Christina Applegate has no regrets about skipping out on Legally Blonde!

While promoting her new show Dead to Me with co-star Linda Cardellini on Andy Cohen‘s Watch What Happens Live, the 47-year-old actress was asked if she turned down the role of Elle Woods in the film.

“I wasn’t actually offered it, but the script had came to me, but I had just gotten off Married with Children and I felt like it was too close to what I had just been doing and I was very interested in removing myself from that,” Christina explained. “No, I don’t regret it because Reese Witherspoon did a much better job than I ever could and she has way more money and more success, and why would I ever regret that?”

The leading ladies were joined at the event by their co-stars James Marsden who was accompanied by his girlfriend Edei, Brandon Scott, Max Jenkins, Sam McCarthy, Luke Roessler, Diana Maria Riva, Telma Hopkins, Valerie Mahaffey, and Keong Sim, as well as creator Liz Feldman, and executive producers Will Ferrell and Christie Smith.

Synopsis: Jen (Christina) is a sardonic widow determined to solve her husband’s recent hit-and-run murder. Judy (Linda) is an optimistic free spirit who’s recently suffered her own tragic loss. When the two women meet at a support group, they become unlikely friends despite their polar-opposite personalities. But as they bond over bottles of wine, Entenmann’s cookies and a shared affinity for The Facts of Life, Judy desperately tries to shield Jen from a shocking secret that could destroy her life as she knows it.

The 47-year-old Vacation star visited The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday (April 30) to promote her new Netflix series Dead to Me.

During her appearance, Christina revealed to host Stephen Colbert that she is also a librarian at her 8-year-old daughter Sadie‘s school!

“I work in the library at her school and I’ve had this really wonderful life at her school being kind of anonymous and filthy,” Christina shared, clarifying, “If I can do drop-off in the library, I don’t need to shower or have my hair brushed. I can just be very anonymous. I read to the kids. There’s story time and it’s awesome.”

The duo star in the upcoming dark comedy that follow two women who meet at a support group after losing their significant others and form an unlikely friendship.

Things take a turn when they move in together and cops show up looking for one of the women.

The show also stars James Marsden, Ed Asner and Brandon Scott.

Dead to Me premieres on Netflix on May 3rd.

Christina Applegate is starring in M&M’s new commercial that will air during the 2019 Super Bowl!

The 47-year-old former Married with Children actress is seen driving a car and having a difficult time with some bad passengers in the back seat.

After too much fighting, Christina asks, “Do I have to break you guys apart?” She then stops the car and blows up at them and says, “Okay that’s it! If you don’t stop, I’ll eat all of you alive right now.”

We then see that Christina has a new M&M’s Chocolate Bar in the back seat!

Christina Applegate has an exciting new role!

The 46-year-old actress will star in the upcoming Netflix dark comedy series Dead To Me, according to Deadline on Wednesday (July 11).

The show is being executive produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay, and will mark Christina‘s first major TV role in six years. It’s also a mini-reunion: Christina worked with Will and Adam in the Anchorman films.

The 10-episode half-hour series will “center on a powerful friendship that blossoms between a tightly wound widow, Jen (Applegate), and a free spirit with a shocking secret.”

Jen is “a poised and put-together woman with a dark sense of humor and an anger problem that she doesn’t necessarily want to deal with. She’s been struggling to keep it together in the months since her husband was killed in a hit-and-run accident.”

Filming is set to begin this fall in Los Angeles.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy is joined on the red carpet by his new wife Peta Murgatroyd as they arrive at the 2017 Industry Dance Awards on Wednesday night (August 16) at the Avalon Theater in Hollywood.

The Dancing with the Stars pros were joined at the awards event by Maks‘ younger brother Val Chmerkovskiy and his girlfriend Jenna Johnson.

Other stars spotted at the event included Christina Applegate, Tommy Chong, and Monique Coleman who had a mini High School Musical reunion with director Kenny Ortega.

The Industry Dance Awards is hosted annually to raise money and awareness for cancer.
