Christopher Abbott, who played the role of Charlie on the hit HBO series Girls, will reportedly be leaving the show, the New York Post has confirmed.

“[Chris] is grateful for the experience of collaborating with Lena, Judd [Apatow], and the entire Girls cast and crew, but right now he’s working on numerous other projects and has decided not to return to the show,” a rep for the 27-year-old actor said in a statement.

“They’ve just started work on Season 3, and Chris is at odds with Lena,” a source told the publication. “He didn’t like the direction things are going in, which seems a bit odd since the show put him on the map.”

Lena rocked a Valentino jumpsuit, while Allison stunned in an Altuzarra top and skirt with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, and Fred Leighton jewels. Jemima looked gorgeous in a vintage Geminola gown.

Also pictured are actress Zoe Kravitz and singer Solange Knowles at the bash.

Christopher Abbott holds a female model close in this new fashion feature from Vegas magazine’s September 2012 issue.

“Christopher Abbott, the ‘nice guy’ on HBO’s Girls, stirs up trouble in Vegas as the bad-boy accessory to fall’s mix of luscious texture and Baroque detailing,” the magazine wrote about the 26-year-old actor.

The piece is aptly called “Christopher Abbott: Tall, Dark, and Dapper”.
