Michael J. Fox‘s mom, Phyllis Fox, has sadly passed away at the age of 92.

The 61-year-old actor shared the somber news during his appearance at the 2022 New York Comic Con over the weekend, where he reunited with his Back to The Future co-star, Christopher Lloyd.

According to her online obituary, Phyllis passed away peacefully during her sleep at the end of September.

It also asks that donations be made in Phyllis‘ name to an array of causes, including diabetes, Parkinson’s, the Burnaby General Hospital, the BC Children’s Hospital and Canuck Place, in lieu of flowers.

During Michael‘s appearance, he recalled that Phyllis was wary of him taking the Back To The Future role.

Spirit Halloween: The Movie is nearly here, just in time for the spooky season.

The second trailer for the upcoming film, inspired by the nation’s largest Halloween retailer, Spirit Halloween, just arrived over the weekend.

The film is the feature directorial debut of David Poag and stars Christopher Lloyd, Rachel Leigh Cook, Marla Gibbs, and up-and-coming talent, including Donovan Colan, Marissa Reyes, Jaiden J. Smith and Dylan Martin Frankel, many of whom are making their big screen debuts.

The film will have a limited theatrical release starting September 30, and will be released on all VOD platforms on October 11 followed by DVD and soundtrack releases later that month.

The movie tells the story of three middle school friends who spend the night locked inside a Spirit Halloween store, only to discover that the store is haunted.

“Spirit Halloween has an incredible and engaged fan base, so when we heard Hideout Pictures was interested in making a film inspired by our store and product, we knew our fans would go crazy for it. We partnered with the movie production company early on to ensure that everything from the store layout to the animatronics themselves felt authentic to our brand and would bring to life the magic that our fans know and love about Spirit Halloween,” said the company’s Kym Sarkos.

Spirit Halloween: The Movie, inspired by the Halloween pop-up shop of the same name, has debuted its first teaser trailer!

Here’s a synopsis: When a Spirit Halloween Store opens in a deserted strip mall, three middle school friends who think they’ve outgrown trick or treating make a dare to spend the night locked inside the store Halloween night. But they soon find out that the store is haunted by an angry evil spirit who has possessed the creepy animatronic characters. The kids will need to embark on a thrilling and spooky adventure in order to survive the night and avoid becoming possessed themselves.

Spirit Halloween will be a new movie starring Rachael Leigh Cook and Christopher Lloyd and it’s being billed as a family/kids adventure movie, according to Variety.

Ryan Reynolds and Mark Ruffalo are attending a special screening of their new Netflix movie!

The two actors joined co-star Walker Scobell and director Shawn Levy at a screening of The Adam Project on Wednesday evening (February 9) at the Metrograph in New York City.

Guests in attendance included Kyle MacLachlan, Riverdale actress Gina Gershon, Back to the Future actor Christopher Lloyd, German model Johannes Huebl, Girls actor Christopher Abbott, and Orange is the New Black actress Alysia Reiner.

Also in attendance was Ryan‘s wife Blake Lively‘s sister Robyn Lively and her husband Bart Johnson.

The movie – which also stars Jennifer Garner and Zoe Saldana – follows Ryan as a time-traveling pilot who teams up with his younger self (Scobell) and his late father (Ruffalo) to come to terms with his past while saving the future.

It’s hard to believe anyone other than Michael J. Fox could’ve played Marty McFly in Back to the Future and now Christopher Lloyd is opening up about what lead to his casting!

In an interview with GQ, Christopher Lloyd discussed Eric Stoltz‘s being cast as Marty McFly originally, before Michael eventually took over the role.
