Yara Shahidi is making her voice heard.

The 18-year-old Grown-ish actress spoke at the Youth Movement panel during the Freeform segment of the 2019 Winter TCA Press Tour on Tuesday (February 5) at The Langham Huntington in Pasadena, Calif.

Pretty Little Liars showrunner I. Marlene King, Grown-ish co-showrunner Jenifer Rice-Genzuk Henry, The Fosters executive producer Joanna Johnson, Janel Parrish, Sasha Pieterse, Luka Sabbat, Cierra Ramirez and Maia Mitchell all spoke at the panel.

The panel was part of the network’s “continued commitment to inclusivity and authentic storytelling.”

“At Freeform, our shows are uncompromising and bullish on what’s possible when young adults are empowered to be themselves and share their voice about the things that define them and their generation,” said president Tom Ascheim.

On the same day, it was announced that Grown-ish is being picked up for a third season.

Maia Mitchell and Cierra Ramirez sandwich in Noah Centineo at the premiere of Freeform’s Good Trouble on Tuesday night (January 8) at the Palace Theatre in Los Angeles.

Good Trouble is the spin-off of The Fosters and Noah starred on that show as Maia and Cierra‘s brother.

Also stepping out for the premiere were Good Trouble actors Zuri Adele, Sherry Cola, Tommy Martinez, Roger Bart, Josh Pence (with girlfriend AJ Michalka), Emma Hunton, Molly McCook, Ken Kirby, Michael Galante, and Max Cutler.

Social media star Gigi Gorgeous stopped by the event and the show’s executive producers Bradley Bredeweg, Peter Paige, and Joanna Johnson.

Maia Mitchell happily poses for photographs while hosting a Saving Innocence Awareness Benefit held earlier this week at Cleo restaurant in West Hollywood.

The 24-year-old actress was joined at the event by her The Fosters co-star Cierra Ramirez and her boyfriend, YouTube personality Jeff Wittek, as well as Michael Traynor, who co-hosted the benefit held to raise awareness for Saving Innocence and the work they do to end child sex trafficking in the community.

Also in attendance to show their support were Lady Bird star Laura Marano, social media maven’s Rudy Mancuso, Lele Pons and King Bach, CEO and founder of Saving Innocence Kim Biddle and Alan Smyth (SVP of Saving Innocence).

Courtney Eaton and Maia Mitchell hit the red carpet while attending JustJared.com‘s special screening of Love, Simon on Sunday night (January 14) at The London Hotel in West Hollywood, Calif.

Maia was joined at the event by her The Fosters co-star Cierra Ramirez and friend Emma Kenney, who stars on Shameless and will soon be seen on the Roseanne revival.

Also in attendance were Life in Pieces‘ Hunter King and former Bratz actress Skyler Shaye.

The screening was attended by the film’s star Nick Robinson and director Greg Berlanti, who participated in a Q&A moderated by our editor-in-chief Jared Eng. The film hits theaters on March 16 and is one of the few major studio films to ever feature a gay character in the lead role.
