Check out “#1Nite (One Night),” the newest song from Cobra Starship!

The track comes off Cobra Starship‘s upcoming album, Night Shades, which will be released in stores and on iTunes on August 30.

“The song we recorded with Ryan Tedder of @onerepublic is live now on [iTunes]!” frontman Gabe Saporta wrote on his Twitter account last night, adding, “Ryan is the bomb”.

The video features snapshots of a bearded Robin Williams and his daughter Zelda – both are old family friends of Cobra keytarist Victoria Asher. Other bandmates include Ryland Blackinton, Nate Novarro, and Alex Suarez.

Gabe Saporta pops a bottle of champagne in this new photo spread for Self magazine’s July 2011 issue, on newsstands Thursday (June 16) in New York and L.A.

The 31-year-old Cobra Starship frontman dished that the band calls their style Hamptons hipster – that’s hampster for short!

“I’ve come to realize how important it is to be comfortable,” Gabe told the mag of his own style evolution. “I like to feel an effortlessness in what I wear.”

The shoot must have went well because later that night, Gabe tweeted “i need to go to sleep so we can rehearse tomorrow. but i’m too wired from our insane video shoot today.”

Later in the week, the 31-year-old singer tweeted some wisdom.

“If you don’t have 2 or more people in your head arguing at all times, you’re probably not connecting to your true self,” Gabe said.

Gabe Saporta and his Cobra Starship bandmates arrive at 102.7 KIIS FM’s Wango Tango 2011, held at L.A.’s Staples Center on Saturday (May 14).

The group caught up with JustJared.com before hitting the stage, where they performed their new song, “You Make Me Feel…,” with Sabi!

“There’s a lot more love songs on this record!” Gabe dished, adding, “Love is more of an inspiration than it’s been in the past. I’ve had to deal with a breakup of my girlfriend of five years and that was definitely a hard thing to go through.”
