Cody Longo, an actor many will recognize from roles on the likes of Days of Our Lives and Hollywood Heights, has sadly died at the age of 34.
TMZ confirmed the news with Cody‘s family, who confirmed that his body was found at a home in Austin, Texas on Wednesday (February 8). It is currently unclear how long had had been dead at the time of his discovery.
Cody‘s wife Stephanie asked local police to perform a wellness check after she was unable to get in touch. Officers found him in a bed.
At the time, an official cause of death has not yet been revealed. However, family members told the outlet that he suffered from alcoholism and might have relapsed.
Cody had three children, a daughter and two sons ranging in age from 7 to 1.
Stephanie told the outlet that he was “really working hard on himself to fight for his kids.”
“He was an amazing father and the best husband. Our whole world is shattered,” she said.

The 32-year-old actor got into a physical fight with his wife Stephanie after he arrived home drunk and she accused him of being unfaithful, according to TMZ.
Cody‘s wife told the cops that he “shoved her face with his forearm” and she claimed her jaw and neck were sore, though there were no visible bruises.
Cody was arrested and posted $2,500 bond. He told TMZ that “his wife’s allegations are not true, and he calls their dispute a private matter.”
